    Cupcakes Despite reading well more than a few MLP fanfics over the years, including some of the really popular ones, picking a favorite is hard since my favorite MLP stories are simple, one-shot crackfic comedies. I haven't read Past Sins, but, I did read one of Pen Stroke's other renowned stories, Haunting Nightmare, way back when. It was really good. I'd probably name that one as my favorite popular story.

    Last night, I got five games, Final Fantasy V, VI, and VII, Pokemon Crystal, and Phoenix Wright: Spirit of Justice for under $50. I love saving my money for occasions such as these. :kirin:

    Suffering. Make your characters suffer in a way that is unique and grow in a way that anyone can relate to, and people will get invested in them.

    Pony Life seems to think so, having Sugarcube Corner be the center of the world. Honestly, "boring" is never how I would've described Ponyville. It was a simple venue that never got stale because of how much the world outside of it got explored.

    How has no one said Discord yet. We're talking unlimited powers, getting to do whatever you want at the snap of your fingers with no consequences. I'm actually going to go with a choice many will surely find bizarre and say King Sombra. No, not because I want to be dead (or "dead"), but because being a shadow would be really freaking cool and I'd love to get creative with how I could actually use my powers for good. I'd also love to be Princess Luna, since I have all too much familiarity with late-night work and struggling to fit in.

    Not a spin-off this time, but we got another gift from Vivzie to tide the wait. A Christmas gift. It's a cute silent short film that's obviously been inspired by The Nightmare Before Christmas, and big shock, it's family-friendly.

    I completely see why this twist is so disliked, but I also get the logic behind it. Reforming Discord unfortunately created an easy window for plotholes. He always has to either lose his powers, be working against the good guys, or be holding back to test them in order for the question of, "Why doesn't Discord just snap his fingers and fix everything?", to be answered. It's not about the twist being badly written, keeping that and the clear foreshadowing it had throughout the season in mind, it's just the fact that it is the final twist of the series that makes the finale of the show lose its feeling of finality. However, I'm a what happened happened kind of guy, I understand that MLP is also a franchise that the show has to leave open avenues for, and I don't care so long as I get my good-quality Season 10 comic.

    The show was originally only slated for three seasons before they made it all the way up to nine. 3 and 9 may both be multiples of 3, but 6 does not go into 3 and 9 in a way that would be convenient for any show production team. Twenty-six episodes for each character, or God forbid thirteen, would have quickly grown redundant. Kids would have also quickly gotten bored possibly waiting years for their favorite character to get the spotlight. An idea like this would work much better with each season subtly themed around a specific character.

    I went from left, to center, to right. Currently undecided about whether I'm libertarian or conservative because I honestly don't care too much about politics. I agree with moderate liberal stances on LGBT, abortion, and climate change, but the left no longer agrees with my deeply held personal values about the rejection of victim mentality and the importance of truth and reason at all. I agree with the right on more issues now. Fully believe in keeping the economy as is, minimal business regulation, the importance of a nation's identity, gun rights, and especially freedom of speech.
