  1. I donated three dollars to an MLP artist and writer that I greatly respect.
  2. I do not know of any legal online readers besides Kindle and ComiXology and I believe you know that pirated sources are forbidden from being posted on this site. I just always get the compilation volumes since they're easy to obtain cheaply online. Amazon has a list price of only eight dollars for each book containing five issues.
  3. I...think Hasbro is protective enough of their IPs, considering their notoriety for sending Cease & Desists to fans over harmless fandom projects (look at what happened in the MLP fandom with Fighting is Magic, Friendship is Witchcraft, and JanAnimations' Button Mash series). I can understand things from their perspective...but I absolutely don't agree.
  4. Have any of you read the G5 comics? I've read the first fifteen issues of the main series and I've liked all of them, especially Issues #11 and #12. The Discord arc and the Violette Rainbow story were pretty good too, Violette's debut in the most recent episode of TYT being this topic's inspiration.
  5. Cool to be getting such great Misty episodes back-to-back! The inclusion of Violette Rainbow from the comics as a speaking character was interesting, but what really fascinated me was the voice from the last episode turning out to be the voice of the universe. So it seems MLP now has its own version of God, who would've thought. I'm not just joking or reading in too deep, Misty worrying about being judged for her sins of the past...kind of clear what they were going for and what they were going for was executed very well. Only real flaw...I'm sure you've guessed it if you've read my comments on all the other episodes of TYT Season 2. No Comet. In an episode with the word, "starlight", in its title, no less. From this point on, I'm maintaining a counter. Episodes Since Comet's Last Appearance: 6
  6. Oh yeah, I know the ending is meant to leave you with a happy feeling inside and I take fan theories for what they are. I was just alluding to how they are setting something up.
  7. What, no mention of The Isle of Scaly being a reference to a Daring Do book? But yes, I'd love to see more references like that. That nod to that Starlight Glimmer book in TYT took me by complete surprise.
  8. It's great to have you as our newest member of Hitch's Hideout! :coolandhip:

    1. Princess Sunny

      Princess Sunny

Thank you! Glad to be here! :Pip-giggle:

  9. I'm just glad Hasbro is uploading full episodes of Friendship is Magic on their YouTube channel for free.
  10. Finished watching all of Korra a few days ago. Felt a few things could've been written better, like the way Bolin tries to figure out metalbending, but I thought this show was only somewhat not as good as the original Avatar overall.

  11. Finished watching all of the first season tonight and feel this season has been pretty good overall. Season finale was great, I was not expecting...
  12. This was an incredibly good episode that took me by surprise! I mean, Misty episodes are always good, but this one, especially so! I kept pausing as I was watching to make sure there were no cool G4 references I was missing and it was funny to see how the other ponies were reacting to what Misty was doing in the room that was affecting the rest of the Brighthouse. Also loved Misty's talk with Sunny at the end. Very sure the G5 staff is well-aware of how much we like Misty and are setting something big up for her here, something I can't wait for! Unfortunately though...still no Comet.
  13. I do sincerely hope they go through with this consideration and make another show in the style of Make Your Mark. I also would like for it to not to be a Netflix-exclusive show, since part of the reason why Tell Your Tale has been such a hit is the fact that anyone can watch it on YouTube, as some have already alluded to in the past. Also, fun fact, not only is FaolanCortez one of the few G5 reviewers who likes to review G5 in a more leveled way, he's also met with the developer of MYM, Gillian Berrow. He is absolutely not the kind of guy who would lie about this.
  14. Palworld's getting so big that even my supervisor at work brought it up with me tonight. Fully intend to try the game out eventually, since I really like the idea of playing something like Pokemon with guns. :PIPPIPHURRAY:

  15. Loved him in Happy Gilmore, shame to lose him. May he be at peace as he lives on through his accomplishments.
  16. Watched Episodes 5 and 6, both of them were really good to me. I did enjoy Lucifer's character and getting to see more of Alastor's sinister nature. Liked Episode 6 even more, awesome how not every angel is like Adam and that reveal about Vaggie was epic.
  17. Does anyone else here love how everyone on the internet now is a Silent Hill expert who's played the original Silent Hill 2? I would hope so, because what I love even more is all the "experts" acting like The Short Message is bad because it isn't P.T.! :cheeky-smile:

  18. Silent Hill: The Short Message is my new favorite free-to-play game. As much as I enjoy my free-to-play Yu-Gi-Oh! games...wow. This is what Silent Hill: Ascension should've been. No microtransactions, no lame gimmicks, no laughably cringe fanservice, just an honest-to-goodness effort at trying to bring Silent Hill into a modern setting with a well-written, wholesome, and highly relatable story. Like a lot of people, I utterly despised that photo maze towards the end, but even as someone who's not an interactive movie game kind of guy, I'm in full support of more Silent Hill games doing what this game nailed down. Stunned at how we got something this good for free. Even as someone who isn't even really bothered by microtransactions unless they're honestly intrusive, I do find generosity like this to be a breath of fresh air.
  19. Everyone's loving this one, add me to the list of people who finds the love to be deserved. This had much better writing than our last Jazz episode, Baby Critters Club, and it's good to have a cute, heartwarming Hearts and Hooves Day episode to balance things out after the mean-spirited (but amusing) Secret Ad-mare-er. I also enjoyed there being no cutie mark speech, laughed at how Sunny's mane got made into a Valentine's Day heart, and like how they're keeping these Poseyabuse gags fresh. Still no Comet though. You bet I'm going to keep bringing this up.
  20. ...Well, this is certainly unexpected. Even if it's just the final part of MYM's initial order that's done, a $100 toy based off of MYM being released?! I mean, very glad to see that we're still getting G5 merch, but still, I did NOT see that coming.
  21. I'm very honored to be included in this banner and I love the kind words that were said about me and everyone else!
  22. Interesting how a popular topic asking members if they would visit China for MLP just recently blew up, because to coincide with that, we have this news... https://www.equestriadaily.com/2024/01/my-little-pony-make-your-mark-set-for.html Albeit not in a Western part of the world, Make Your Mark is going to be free from its Netflix prison for the first time, granted you don't count clips Hasbro posts on YouTube. I hope it is not just "some episodes" they make available though, since MYM is a plot-heavy show where you need to watch all the episodes to know the whole story.
  23. Hope this place helps you overcome your fear of forums! We wish you a great time on here!
  24. It is 100% dependent on who you ask, the comic was also torn to shreds by certain people even back in the day. You just have to be your own best critic, especially in this day and age where it's easy to get all kinds of false impressions from people online.
  25. No one can convince me now that Sparky isn't better than Flurry Heart. Not only did he do something that actually had a major impact on the story of Make Your Mark, unlike Flurry in Friendship is Magic, Tell Your Tale recently added more to his character too. Flurry only caused problems for the sake of comedy and crying for attention while Sparky, despite causing problems too, recently inadvertently caused one because of his relatable desire to have a sibling. Sparky's relationships and interactions with the other characters are many times more interesting too because he has bonds with them that actually develop. Flurry and Twilight's bond was hardly developed and built to nothing. Sparky, by contrast, has an actual story in his bonds with Misty and Hitch. He doesn't trust Misty at all initially, starts warming up to her once he sees the first signs of a change of heart in her despite still maintaining suspicion, and trusts her completely after seeing the evil in her overtaken by good. Sparky also causes Hitch to grow more mature and responsible, chooses to be with Hitch over his own kind, and even directly acknowledges Hitch as his father. Sparky is just Flurry Heart but with no destiny? That could've never been more wrong.
