I genuinely think hasbro has a good idea of what their target audience is. I know they make stuff for the little ones, but not as much. They are now producing high-quality products for the collectors (A.K.A us / the kids of yesteryear, who are now adults). Just take a look at Star Wars: The Black Series / The Vintage Collection, Transformers: War For Cybertron Siege / Earthrise (watched the first season. LOVED IT!!! am gonna start watching Earthrise in a bit. ), and even the MLP: Guardians of Harmony figurines they released a while back. (I still have mine in the box.) Good onya Hasbro ya turned me into a collector.
they know the majority of kids these days spend most of their time on social media and they dont play with toys like we did in the past and hasbro knows that.
(GOD, I LOVE THIS INTRO!!! been waiting for something like this. A darker, more serious take on the series. Just FOCUS on the transformers. Give us more of this hey @Megas, what's ur opinion on the War For Cybertron cartoon? )
I am in a situation where there isnt a single diecast model I wanna get this year. (GM is planning to make a GT3 version of the C8 R and Audi is gonna have a new EVO package next year. So yeah, A LOT of the models I was thinking 'bout getting have been put on ice.) Normally, there's one or two I'd like to get. maybe I'll buy a transformers masterpiece. I always wanted to have one of those, despite how expensive it is...
*waits for a MP version of Galvatron... honestly, I'm surprised they havent released one for Galvatron. I just hope it aint too expensive. last time I checked, Starscream Version 2.0 was $500 Australian. yep, it was THAT expensive O.O heck, the pre-orders for Unicron were $600 + back in mid 2018 and you know he's gonna be MASSIVE!!! dont exactly know how big some of these Masterpiece figurines are in comparison to what you'd get in-store...*
My parents gave me A LOT of money last year to spend on whatever the heck I want :3 I guess I'll save it for the time being ^^

The War For Cybertron trilogy so far I'm pretty mixed on. It's got some good story beats(I like where they were going with Jetfire, Elita and Impactor) but it needs to lighten up, and Prime himself is honestly kind of awful here.
The toyline though is one of the best they've had in recent memory. Basically mini/budget MP figures with a lot of clever engineering and playability
SpoilerSorry for the late reply

yeah, I love they're producing high-quality, show accurate figurines. that's something I havent seen since Armada. I still remember how solid those toys were I regret not getting Studio series 86 Grimlock. Should've placed a pre-order on it even tho it was $100 Australian. A part of me wants to get studio series 86 hot rod ($55), Commander Class Siege Jetfire ($140) and the Netflix War For Cybertron Nemesis Prime ($130), but I wanna save my money for Galvatron, who I know will be coming out later this year (...and if there's a masterpiece version, heck I'll spend it all on that) and they say he's gonna be a leader class. straight-away, that's gonna be $100.
There was a listing for it on TransformerWorld2005 as well as a listing for a commander class Rodimus Prime. Been also taking a look at the Transformers Wiki and most of the figurines they've released in the past dont even come close to what they look like in the cartoon. I'd say this is 'bout as cartoon-accurate as we're ever gonna get.
...and it's fine I'd rather have a delayed response than no response at all ^^
