how are we all doing today?

I just finished watching Race 2 of the Pirtek Perth Supernight and it was 'Scotty' McLaughlin who won the final race of the weekend. I got a little pissed off when Whincup jumped ahead of scotty. McLaughlin had the exact same problem / issue he had yesterday: he had a little bit of wheel spin getting off the line. When they went to do their pit-stops, McLaughin put 51 litres of fuel and made an earlier pit-stop so he could get the jump on Whincup. The red bull driver took on 60 litres of fuel. Chaz Mostert had a mechanical problem (it was running on 7 cylinders) and got a DNF as a result. One of the Holdens collided with one of the Nissans and that brought out the safety car. This equalized the field and because of the jump, McLaughin comfortably put on a fresh set of tyres and was fuelled to the end. Overall, it has been a good weekend

Man, I can't believe the actor who played as 'Chewbacca' died yesterday.
you know, it makes me wonder how they're gonna make episode 9 now that Carrie Fisher (A.K.A the original Princess Leia) and Peter Mayhew are now dead. They say they have enough footage from The Force Awakens AND The Last Jedi to work with. They should've just killed her off in The Last Jedi. If you want my honest opinion, you should get some-one else to play as Princess Leia. Honestly, I feel as if Episode 9 is a desperate attempt to get the fans attention. It's sad, really.
They killed Han Solo in The Force Awakens, they killed Luke Skywalker in The Last Jedi, Carrie Fisher died a year after The Last Jedi came out and now this. Why do I have a bad feeling they're gonna kill Lando and Chewie in Episode 9?

As far as Chewie, Mayhew was already training a successor while working on TLJ, because his health was deteriorating so much he knew he couldn't don the suit much any more, so that won't be much of a problem. As far as Leia, yeah, it sounds like it's gonna be a mix of stuff she already recorded for spare footage, and like what they did for the Rebel pilots in Rogue One. And at this point I think JJ is smart enough not to make a dumbass move like killing Lando and Chewie after the reactions to TFA and TLJ. He seems to know he and Rian dun' fugged up and wants to try to salvage what he can....my question is more 'is he capable of it' rather than 'does he want to.'
What makes me sad is the toxic reaction Hamill got for posting that photo of him, Carrie, Harrison, and Billy D in the cockpit of the Falcon saying it was a missed opportunity, and the people who gave him shit are calling people like us saying 'yeah that's kind of sad they missed out on that' the toxic fanboys.
God damn, I hate society these days -_-

I just finished watching Race 1 of the Pirtek Perth Supernight and it was a Ford 1 - 2 - 3. The two shell cars were on the front row of the grid. Fabian had a great start, while his team-mate had a bit of wheel-spin getting off the line. Mostert had REALLY good car pace and he eventually got past the red bull car...
The last couple of laps were hilarious. The two red bull cars were fighting for position, which is something you don't see very often XD ...and when you consider Van Gisbergen is the leading Holden in the championship, you'd think Jamie would give up the position, but no

Okay, I'm gonna be perfectly honest here: Video game adaptations have ALWAYS been a grey area in the movie cinema genre. I dunno why, but whenever they make one, they ALWAYS seem to screw it up. Just take a look at the Mario Bros movie from the 90's (which I haven't seen btw), the Mortal Kombat movie, the Street fighter movie, Assassin's Creed, Doom, Resident Evil and many more...
At this point, they've seem to have nailed the design for Detective Pikachu and overall, the movie has the potential to be a great movie AS LONG AS THEY DONT PUT ANY OF THE CHEESY HUMOUR WE'VE HAD SINCE THE BEGINNING OF THE 2010's. It's been in EVERY Marvel movie so far and I'm sick of it...
...and it's not just in the movies, the same thing goes for TV shows. Sonic X, Pacman and the ghostly adventures, Megaman NT warrior and Sonic Boom are a couple of bad examples...
The ONLY one that has managed to pull it off is Castlevania. At least THAT is accurate to the source material (a little short IMO) and that's THE most important thing when you're making one of these movies. The fans have such high expectations when it comes to these sort of movies and when it's not done right, the fans absolutely butcher it.
Okay, you guys want a sonic movie? THIS is a sonic movie. THIS was the one I watched as a kid and...yes, it's considered cheesy by todays standards,
(it's VERY 90's) ...but it's pretty damn good IMO Why couldn't they just make a sonic anime or something?
Will I go and see the Detective Pikachu movie?
ehh...maybe. If they're giving out exclusive Pokemon cards like they did with the Yu-Gi-Oh movie, then I'll go and see it. As for the Sonic movie? ehh...I'll just wait for it to pop up on Foxtel / TV or something...who knows, it could actually be a good movie, despite all the negativity it's getting atm...
I have no doubt in my mind Jim Carrey is gonna be great. I've seen how he acts in the past and he's really funny. (My favourites are Bruce Almighty and The Mask)
As of right now, the trailer has more dislikes and likes. I DO NOT like the design for Sonic The Hedgehog. It doesn't look ANYTHING like sonic. I'm telling ya, it looks like a guy in a fur suit. What have they done!?

Well, Sonic by dint of design can only ever be a cartoon character. He run fast. That's pretty much it. You can't have an entire movie just be chase scene. What story you could build around it would only feel like just cartoon version of Flash. Anything you could do with Sonic is already done.
But the underlying story to that trailer... was figuring out just what exactly Sonic IS. Think that's what they're aiming at! Robotnik was the human scientist brought in to try & understand what he was & what he was doing to their world (even single hairs of Sonic were blowing off energy) but the chase not only gave less answers, but drove Eggman mad.
Think its storytelling by merit of treating Sonic like an Eldritch Horror, an invader we cannot hope to understand & the lesson that it's better to accept what we are given.
They can't very well just do yet another "Sonic saves the day because he just toooo fast!"

@Widdershins Oh don't get me wrong, as a core concept, the idea of 'origin story' works....it's just who's going to want to watch when one of your two main characters is literally painful to look at?

Any *one* of those (personally my favorite is the second one, by LadyGT) still gets the 'strange potentially scary creature' effect across without being legitimately disturbing (in a bad way) like the version they actually went with. At the end of the day, this is supposed to be a lighthearted kids movie, but any kid old enough to comprehend words is going to see this and be given nightmare fuel.

Yeh. Because a bipedal, electric blue, be-head-finned, glove-wearing hedgehog with eyes melded together until it displaces most of the skull's mass is far better to mentally digest.
I am of the stance that there's no way to not make Soynick disturbing.
...least we don't have a random mayor's daughter catgirl this time.

Goopy & Slimegoop are worse though. It’s the part about them not being able to tell its their friend they’re eating by sliming up on you... then playing up Goopdragon’s slimy hugs as cute. When its likely intentionally eating you now. Them Pokedex entries! I would like ghosts more... but i’ll stay away from soul eaters!
Kommoo is a good second for me. Likely its only negative is its unpronounceable & unspellable name.

@Widdershins I still think Garbodor is ugly and absurdly generic (and not even my least favorite... I HATE Dunsparce) but yeah I can definitely see why you don't like Goodra. Ugly f***er.

Hey guys, if you wanna watch the new pony episode, I highly recommend watching it on Spazz.TV. Unlike most of the other streams, it doesn't have any lag and it doesn't have ad's every 5 - 10 minutes + they show the previous episode that aired last week

You know, I have a feeling Tempest Shadow A.K.A Fizzlepop Berrytwist will make an appearance / help out the mane 6 in Season 9.
Her name was mentioned in the Season 8 premiere. Of course, they’ll probably have a different voice actor to the one she had in the movie to cut down on costs X3
…and I have a feeling Grogar will revive the storm king. Let’s not forget that he brought King Sombra back from the dead in the Season 9 premiere

Well, that was a nice way to celebrate easter ^^
I went over to my uncles place for lunch, had some chicken nuggets and some spring rolls, had a nice conversation with my cousins (we were talking about the latest star wars movie / the episode 9 trailer) , and we watched the new Aquaman movie and John Wick. Oh, and I got a chocolate easter bunny and a chocolate easter egg :3 So how was your easter my friends? I hope yours was as good as mine

Well, my day just went from bad to worse.
I was un-able to make a post last night 'cuz my BRAND NEW laptop had a technical issue, and a REALLY bizarre one at that. 
O_O When I took it to the tech experts, they told me there was a problem with the hard drive and it has NOTHING to do with the fact I didn't update my laptop. I can't believe it. My laptop is less than 7 months old and it ALREADY has a problem. My dad had to pay $280 just so they can fix it. Are you FREAKING KIDDING ME!? 
I took care of this laptop...
They said they'd call me once they've resolved the issue, but I am absolutely gutted that my laptop decided to have a technical issue...
We were supposed to have lunch together at an all-you-can-eat buffet today, but no...my laptop had to ruin EVERYTHING!!!

Not only that, every couple of hours, it would tell me to update my laptop, and I just got sick and tired of it. And the stupid thing is, it would tell me EVEN if I already installed the latest update...
...but yeah, the technician told me it had nothing to do with that and he told me the issue was far more sinister. i dunno when I'll be getting it back, but I hope it's soon. (Like, Tuesday - Wednesday next week)
I don't like using the Mac downstairs. It takes 2 MINUTES to turn on, takes an additional 3 minutes to warm up and my parents are ALWAYS using it. Oh, and it lags quite a fair bit.
On the bright side, I DID manage to find a First Order Storm Trooper when I went to toy mate (which is the replacement for Toys R Us here in Australia).
It was hidden in the back and there was only one left. I LITERALLY had to go to hell and back just to get this thing XD It was a cheap $3 figurine, but...it was totally worth it ^^
Now all I need to get is this Kylo Ren figurine and I'll be satisfied
I'm pretty ticked off about this...of all the times it could've happened, why today!?
the last time I turned it on (last night at 6PM), there was nothing wrong with it. When I turned it on at 10PM, it gave me a bunch of technical jargon that I didnt understand (telling me I needed to contact the HP tech center) and I was unable to log in... O_O

@Widdershins If it's the Windows update, it's legit, it's just updates to the OS...the problem is the coders are so at their jobs that their updates break their own product 80% of the time, whether its minor or major. Your graphics card also has driver updates fairly often.
They dont come with instruction booklets because each component would need it's own booklet-CPU, GPU, OS, motherboard, etc. You cant really think of a PC as a single thing, since each component usually has it's own manufacturer.
