That's an... unique introduction. Hello and welcome to the herd!
  4. Hmm.. that's interesting. Personally I didn't have any troubles. Perhaps there's something wrong in the settings? If you'd happen to have Windows 10, you could try to use its recorder by pressing WIN+G while in application/game. I just tested that, it works. Other than that, I haven't used the others. I think I've bumped into Fraps once years, years ago, but I recall not liking it.
  5. I also use OBS to make videos. Can't complain so far.

  16. Nah, don't take anything personally. I just saw members being confused, so I wanted to get things straight. I used VEGAS Pro 14.0 to put visuals (frame counter etc.) on the video and render it as an image sequence, that then was loaded into GIMP, where I configured frame delays and exported these as a single .gif file. The whole process was rather manual, it required some patience. For slow-motion with sound preview, I also just used Vegas mentioned above.
  17. *triggered* Getting back to that video... Okay, so that sound effect is the sound of kissing, right? Let's assume, that for some mysterious reason it would be true. In that case, that sound effect obviously would have to be made by one of the characters, because that's how kissing works - it needs to be made by somebody. Now it is clearly stated in the topic title, OP and Youtube Video's title, that Rainbow Dash is the one, who is supposed to generate that sound. If anypony believes she kissed her, please take a look at that fragment I've prepared and tell me in which frame she kisses Fluttershy? Because I have no idea. All I see is, that Rainbow Dash didn't make even a tiny little movement with her lips, she had the same smile all the time. So how she managed to generate that sound? She didn't even move her head, nor anything, that would suggest her being about to kiss. I actually have spent more time on that doing further investigation. I've decided to check what the sound effect is all about actually. I've used some slightly-advanced magic and played that fragment in slow-motion with sound, which is what Youtube doesn't offer. After watching and listening to it multiple times it turns out, that the sound effect starts at frame #45 (referring to my gif above) and ends somewhere around frame #48, which means, that the sound effect is generated by Fluttershy, when she leans back. What's more, their heads are far away at that point, which disqualifies it from being the kissing sound, due to not making any sense. In normal speed, everything goes so fast, that it just blends together making it sound like it was audible much sooner. I actually was surprised by the results - almost like an illusion of some sort. Either way now I don't have any doubts. After listening to that sound in slow-motion few times, it just sounds like a 'whoosh'-like sound effect with raising pitch. SUMMARIZING // INVESTIGATION RESULTS I'm 100% sure, that no kissing has happened in this fragment. The sound effect in question is actually generated by Fluttershy, when she leans back. A big mistake for confusing it with kissing sound. The person posting this video on Youtube under that title misleads viewers, by misinterpreting that fragment. I understand that kind of fanart, as that's just one of the rules of the internet- at least you can tell, that it's not official. In this video however, the information provided is just misleading and as we all can see - members were using that video as an evidence- that turns out, was irrelevant. Now that you know this fragment was a wrong argument, I gave yet another dislike to that Youtube video for that reason. I honestly don't think anything more can be pointed out from that fragment- I've explained everything as best as I could. You don't even have idea how much time and effort I've put into that investigation and making this post...

  20. Uuhhh.. It absolutely doesn't look like a kiss to me (took a look at 0.25 speed- there's a big nope), nor it absolutely doesn't sound like a kiss. It's a pretty much typical cartoon-sound effect used when characters are making a quick, yet small move, such as quickly pointing on something, raising hand, quickly moving eyes towards something etc.; here we see Fluttershy being picked up- that's what that SE was used for. In my opinion it's far away from a kissing sound- maybe if you'd take the kissing sound, increase its playing speed, then also increase the pitch, then it perhaps cooooould sound similar to what we hear in that fragment--- though it's still hard to imagine that doing the trick.. It makes me worried, that some people claim otherwise. I'm pretty sure they know the truth, but their desire to ship characters is too strong, so they're making a mountain out of a molehill. It certainly doesn't sound like this, the end. Also it's not edited; the SE is legit, that's how it was in the show.
  21. I recall experiencing something similar, but it was really, really rarely, like 2 times so far? Though I imagine somebody could react to my post, then remove it afterwards (either accidentally - or removing it on purpose after accidentally reacting to my post). I believe the notifications stay there, even after they are no longer relevant, though not sure. I've reacted to your post WiiGuy - then removed the reaction. I'm curious, if you still have the notification or if the software is that smart to remove it from your view. To be honest I'm not sure what to think- as I've said, I had that feeling like two times, but I was assuming, that somebody simply changed their mind. Could you post a screenshot of your content, where you believe you should have reactions? -- and a screenshot of that notification would be great. That way, I could check if these are visible from my point of view- or if these were actually removed or something.. Well, that's all I could do; perhaps staff will know more.
  22. Hello there! I hope you'll have fun! Welcome to the herd!
