  1. Checked out cafeastrology, and I gotta admit I was kinda freaked out with how spot on their analyzed traits are.  I knew I'm a Gemini, but apparently I have a Gemini Ascendent (not sure what that means)... My chart was pretty sporadically intertwined as well.  I know there are those who would say the planets 'don't control who we are', but perhaps 'who we are' is influenced by other factors we have yet to learn about, and the planetary alignment is merely a lens, as it were.  But then again, I'm pretty odd ^_^

  2. I must admit, Chernobyl has always fascinated me too, and along with the utter tragedy it was, the Fukushima incident fascinates me as well... I agree with Tarnish and others, nuclear power/energy deserve the utmost respect and knowledge in handling, but I feel in the right hands, it might be one of the things the Infinite/All-That-Is gave us, along with nutritious (vitamin c/bananas/etc), optical (micro/macroscopic viewing), and untold fields we had discovered and have yet to.  And along with those who had worked at/around, and continue to, at Chernobyl, I sincerely thank those who had/continue to work at Fukushima.  Let us not condemn a given technology because of humanity's mishandling, let us rather stand on the shoulders of giants, and see where we can go as a species.

  3. I absolutely sympathize with, and feel for, each of you guys(gals?  :) )... Not exactly being a Casanova (2 serious relationships in 5 almost 10 years, and having dealt with the sheer amount of drama that can occur (interesting how LEOs are only involved when there's a 'property dispute', although everything is set out and waiting for pickup...yeah, I really want your hair dryer... :/ ), I've come to the realization it's better to not deal with future 'mates', than to deal with potential liability issues.

  4. I wish people would stop being hypocritical, among other ways in hiding behind their religion.  I mean this as, in my last job (working at a Family Dollar) I had caught so many people stealing, but also wearing a cross necklace.  I get that people sometimes have a hard time fiscally, but those I'm mentioning had nice clothes, and it was dumb stuff, like Ny/ZzzQuil, one roll of thread out of a 3 pack (which costs $1), pantyhose, and other randomness.  And of course the responses, 'I have money, I don't need to steal' and 'I wouldn't do that, I'm a Christian *points to necklace*'... Something tells me Jesus/Yahweh/Jehovah wouldn't exactly look kindly on using him like that...

And I kinda agree with needlessly/inadvertently procreating, I would love to build a family,  but simply don't have the resources to do so yet.  I'm told if I wait, I never will, but then again I feel it would be irresponsible if I were to 'jump on in'.  That, and I haven't found anyone with a head on their shoulders and as weird as I am either ;):D

  5. Darn you, Mr. Bigeyes, I was gonna say that first! :)  Along with super speed, invincibility, and a higher jump, in Sonic 3 you could also do a double jump that would 'flash' kill all normal enemies on the screen.  And the Quake Quad Damage is a certain close 2nd :)

  6. Kinda funny this was brought up... Past few days/weeks, I'd been thinking about chilling on the jungle gyms, and this partially-buried concrete pipe(about half a foot in along its length) we'd chill in in the shade... Indeed, our folks did say 'You think life is hard now?  This is the easiest time of your life!'...how right they were... :)

  7. I tend to agree with the first two posts, I love squeezing as much story/backstory out of RPG type games as I can (Fallout is so great for that :) ), and along with whatever items you come across, the xp doesn't hurt either.  And, hey, worst case scenario, you got a few more hours of gameplay for your dollar.

  8. When I was growing up out in the Irish Hills (god, feels like a lifetime ago...) I had the pleasure of petting, and feeding sugar cubes to a group of horses that occupied a field just behind our house.  And Steve Piranha makes me think of the smell of farms as we passed by them, I might be weird, but I never found the smell disgusting - nowadays, I'd rather smell that any day than the 'mighty' Rouge River, the farm smell, if nothing else, symbolized work, agriculture, and to a degree sovereignty.  Dear Infinite, I gotta get back to the country... any Michiganders in the country looking for a roommate?  :D

  9. Introvert. I keep to myself, and am very difficult to befriend as I often resist efforts to do so and stay away from people in general. My anxiety and cautiousness keeps me to myself, but I can also be rather extroverted on the internet in certain places where I just let everything loose. Although I am very generally an introvert. Just because I am one though, doesn't mean I don't like to have fun sometimes and dance and be loud and crazy, which I can be... but only around people I am extremely comfortable with. I avoid large groups, and go quiet in conversations that have more than two people, generally.

I am highly introverted. I tend to stay reclusive in my room, usually not leaving the house unless I just go on a walk. If I go anywhere, I tend to avoid all eye contact with others. I am not good with crowds of people in stores and such so those always stress me out too. I have always been like this and it actually seems to be more apparent in recent years.

Both of these describe me pretty well.  I *can* be social, friendly with total strangers, etc., but I spend a *lot* of time in my room online, reading or gaming.  And Arylett's point about being extroverted is empathizable as well, I swore I would never get a Facebook (still won't), but I've been surprisingly talkative between here and Brony Square.  Personally I think smaller social circles is better - between drama 'friends' and ex-s have shown, I truly think it's better to have fewer people at your services, rather than spend your whole life 'looking over your shoulder'...but then maybe I'm just paranoid.  :D

  10. A few times at my last job, I've been called ma'am/miss/etc., then when I turned to help them, they would apologize, but I've never minded or took offense.  Actually, sometimes it's been flattering :)  As I tend to have streaks of femininity at times, in ignorance, would that make me gender fluid?  Strongly Gemini (chart actually says I'm Gemini ascendent Gemini), I feel vibration is key, through to and including the Infinite/All-That-Is.

  11. Teen Titans GO! and We Bare Bears earlier, probably gonna catch Adult Swim later if Ridiculousness or Impractical Jokers aren't on soon.  Last new show though was Preacher --- very intense/mature, but *so good* :D

  12. I tend to fluctuate (might be my Gemini-ness :) ).  For those who tend to lean towards pessimism, try to remember an older Chinese proverb (which I will no doubt butcher...)

One year, a farmer had tremendous crop growth.  His neighbor commented, 'You certainly are fortunate, your crop is very successful.'  Farmer responds, 'There is neither fortune, nor misfortune.'  Later, his crop is infested with locusts.  Neighbor says, 'You must be sad, for your crops had failed.'  Farmer responds 'There is neither...'. Later, his son, who helps on the farm, breaks a leg.  'I am sorry for your misfortune, for your son had helped your farm greatly.'  Farmer responds, '(same)'.  Not long after, the military comes through looking for draftees.  Because the son's leg is broken, he is not drafted.

Although things might not be as we would prefer them, things can always be worse, and who knows, maybe, just maybe, the Infinite/All-That-Is puts us where we need to be, when we need to be there.

  13. I prefer mine black, no sugar, but I throw a dash (get it? :) ) of cold water in to make it insta-gulpable.  And I really want this mug...

Edit:  Eek!  Didn't mean to have it be that big :/

  14. Mine's about shoulder length, I like it for a few reasons: it doesn't look horrible, sometimes I might feel a tad feminine at times ;) , and the other night at my bro's bonfire, I spread it around my face and neck to avoid mosquitoes (paranoid of the zika virus, someday I might be able to afford to have kids, and zika scares the shnikies out of me...)

  15. Lol, right dawnchaser :) And indeed, what is normal?  Normal is keeping up with the Joneses.  The Joneses are keeping up with the Smiths.  The Smiths are keeping up with the *sons.  And the *sons get what's 'normal' from the media/advertisements/etc.  Really, w ho even wants to be 'normal'? By that time you've surrendered your individuality to what is 'en vogue'.

  16. Dawnchaser's statement is quite true...Sorry to keep bringing up cracked.com(although I swear, if high school were like it, I would have went every single day), it was mentioned how an NFL player was ousted after coming out.  In a sport that has guys wearing tights, and has guys slapping each other on the behind... yeah, totally straight :)

  17. From my own personal experience, Bronies (And Furries) are all over the spectrum, ranging from completely straight to completely asexual and everything in between. But honestly, why are people getting so bent out of shape about what gender other people are interested in? It's really got nothing to do with them, it's a personal thing and I feel that people who get all up in arms about sexual orientation and even their gender identity, need to get a life, as it does not effect them in any way what so ever.

It would be a whole lot better if people just kept their noses (And ultimately their religions, as that is what it all comes down to) out of other people's business and personal lives.

I happen to be bi, but I recall being so far before I came across MLP

    Edit:  Quote included, because yes.

  18. It's gonna take me days to go through all the pages in this totally awesome topic :)  Seeing there's a Luna fan club, I'm tempted to ask to join, but being an MLPF noob, if membership is limited to one club, I gotta shop around first :)

  19. When I was younger, we lived out in an area known as the Irish Hills (racing fans will know this as the home of Michigan International Speedway), and while they worked in the mornings cleaning a bar/restaurant, on the weekends my little bro andm myself would hang out, watch cartoons, etc.  First (in hindsight) strange thing I found was one of those trough-style urinals (I mean, how often do you see those anymore?)  And numerous have been the times I would find things like lemon wedges, beer bottles, and other random bar detritus in it.

I hadn't used public restrooms too often, but it's my understanding that, somehow, unexpectedly, ladies' restrooms tend to be more disgustingly treated...seems paradoxical?

And reading others' posts on here, how does dook end up on the ceiling?  o.O
