    It probably helps that bright and flashy designs are the norm for MLP and not the exception. It also helps that this show reuses character models for almost every character, and that she's using the standard character model, rather then having one specifically created for her. In most works of animation, every character has a unique model, so there's not much forcing the design of the celebrity's characters to conform to the style of those works.

    it's not as if the puppets couldn't be used on a lower budget. Remember that puppets aren't cutouts they have a lot of motion data.

    I expect good performances from the new voice actors, great art and animation, great music, likable characters, and a story that makes sense, is easy to follow, is focused, and is decently paced. I want all of that as well as some interesting character development and strong emotional moments.
