as far back as the early 1990's I used to watch foreign programming on two different public access channels

one was WNYE they had Japanese programming on at saturday from 8:pm-10:pm  and was commercial free 

around 2001 all Japanese programming ceased from this channel

the other public access  channel was WMBC and while WMBC is still around it's no longer the WMBC that I recognized, for example blocks of Korean Programming on this channel have now been reduced to one hour

I miss the 90's....................  I  could use a hug
