I feel I should inform you of what has happened, I injured two of my fingers at work and am now at hospital, I will be put to sleep and undergo surgery tomorrow, I am quite frightened, while the injury seems minor they fear there is damage to the bone, for a cut to the fingers these measures are concerning...

I feel insecure. I know that my art isn’t of professional quality but is it truly at least good? There are so many people with better art and styles and I’m just really insecure right now.

Well, my day just got off to a good start! I woke at 5:00 am and successfully got downstairs without waking anyone else up, which is pretty hard to do since I have to share a room with my sister and my two step-siblings sleep on the landing.

I'm the only early-riser in my family!

I made myself a sandwich and took my sketchbook and phone down the nature walk/fields behind my house, and I got some really nice photos of the night sky. I did a sketch of the moon reflected on the river, which turned out quite well and by the time I got back to the house, I'd watched a beautiful sunrise.

I think I need to do this every weekend!

This is the best photo I got, and will probably also be my next painting project!
