  1. How did you find MLP Forums?: i typed into google "why is flurry heart an alicorn" and it took me to a thread on this forum so i made an account so i could post on it :P

How you became a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: my friends and i always made fun of one of our friends accusing him of watching MLP, i at the time was.. not an anti bronie but i never thought in a million years i would actually watch the show let alone become obsessed with it, being 15 at the time i just didn't think it possible, as a matter of fact i didn't even know the bronie community existed, i thought he was just an odd one out. a good year passed and i was going through that anime faze where i had watched just about everything good i could find and when i had exhausted that resource you can guess what happened... i become bored... my body clock was destroyed dew to staying up till like 1AM every school night and sleeping was simply impossible... i became almost despite for a good show to watch and one night at like 10PM i decided... "aww what the hell im gonna see what all the fuss is about this pony show" i got like 5 minutes into the first episode i just couldn't take it anymore, its just seemed so girly and cheesy, a few hours passed and i just couldn't help but continue watching, but i didn't take on immediately, some of the episode titles sounded super lame so i didn't watch them and i managed to catch up to season 5 while the last 3 or 4 episodes where being released.. this kinda sucked coz i had nothing to watch :c so i went back and tried to find all the episodes i missed :P now with that done i had been waiting for the release of season 6, i gotta say im not impressed with the whole flurry heart thing but whatever, i think it was after a hearths warming tail when i convinced myself to watch equestria girls... which i didn't enjoy as much as the actual show but im still going to watch the legend of everfree regardless.. as for me recognising myself as a bronie.. well the kid we made fun of is a good friend and i skype him all the time.. problem he is nowhere near as into the show as i am now XD and i dare not talk to him or anyone at my school about it.. im in year 11 i cant imagine it ending well... i am super secretive about it and despite wanting merchandise like T-shirts there is no way i can do it without my parents finding out i also want to go to a pony convention but all the big ones are over seas :c what to do what to do?

confession time! ok so.. to be honest i kinda feel like the whole world is against me and i don't fell all too confided about saying this and if im breaking some kind of sensory rule let me know and ill remove this part of the post.

without going too deep i am a nazi sympathiser.. not to be confused with a neo nazi, im not a white supremacist or anything, in fact i highly regard equality of all kinds simply put, i feel bad for Germany and its defeat in WW2 i just really love the military of the time, i will always argue in favour of German technology and i get so triggered by movies about WW2 because of all the american bias in them.. and because of this i feel so misplaced.. i mean.. nazi's and MLP? talk about contradiction... i highly doubt there are many people around the world in the same position as me.. and i don't expect many people to accept this with open arms or anything but its who i am.. so.. yea.. HI, im snow nice to meet you all..

  2. first thing first i would like to point out i do not like this ship one bit but i am curious as to how the heck they are going to make it work

the human world twilight is a total shut in nerd who has hardly even met flash sentry
where as pony twilight has met both flash sentry's in the human and pony world and had shared a blushing moment with both,
now having 2 flash sentry's for 1 twilight is absurd but they both are interested in the princess so nerd twilight doesn't get one :/

any ideas on how this colision might be resolved? because to me this is just one big maritime disaster XD

  3. Now that you mention it, Celestia needs some better character development... My main problem with her is that most of the time she either exists as an exposition device, is there just for the sake of being there, and other than one time in Season 4, rarely actually tries to help with the dire situations when they come around. And the elements of harmony belonging to the Mane 6 now is no excuse, Celestia gave Twilight a substantial amount of power in the Season 4 finale. I see potential in her character, I really do, especially with her relationship with Twilight, but she needs more than that to be more than OK in my book.

well if ya look at my profile you'll see that everypony is best pony, every pony is different and special in their own way :P and for that i love them all (with exception to bad guys but that's ok because they can just as easily be reformed to good)

  4. Yeah, I'd also like to see Luna handled better as a character in general. In Do Princesses Dream Of Magic Sheep, the characters resolved Luna's depression literally by just saying "stop feeling bad, get over it.". Depression and self harm is a much more advanced issue than that, and in real life, saying just get over it Isn't gonna help.

i want more character building for celestia as well.. so many people don't like her :c saying she is the bad one for banishing luna and saying she is too god like, its just not true, an episode on.. idk luna and celestia getting together and discussing what happened in the past and how to fix it for good and go over how celestia felt the whole time

  5. i mean.. after tirek stole all the magic in equestria i thought you coudn't get a more powerful villan but boy i was wrong... the whole starlight thing blew all my doubts out of the water god only knows if they can one up manipulation of time
also.. we haven't learnt anything about equestrias past :C i mean celestia and luna are over 1000 years old... wut happend back then and during celestias solo rule id like to know lol

  6. Sorry, I guess this post must be pretty pessimistic huh? Well, whatever happens, Friendship will always be magic :fluttershy:

i guess so and absolutely /), but i have high expectations on a season seven, yea it might be a bit cliche what with.. new enemy that threatens equestria.... enemy defeated. new enemy that threatens equestria.... enemy defeated. new enemy that threatens equestria.... enemy defeated. and so on, but im willing to look past all that :P i mean the show is directed at an audience that isn't even old enough to appreciate how in depth it is, so why should i be so critical about it.

  7. I'm not one who involves myself with shipping content, but yes, I can't see that. Nope. If I were to ship anyone with Rainbow Dash, it's obviously Soarin. I see no one else capable of the position.

if its cannon that well tough i guess ill accept it sooner or later but 2 characters sharing one moment together thus leading to the mass shipping that happens DX come on guys its taken wwwaaayyyyy to far

  8. my gosh, I think I've just found my new favourite episode. if you've ever been on a convention or if you've ever had an argument with another fan about a certain franchise *coughcoughStarWarscoughcough*, you will get a sense of deja-vu once RD starts to argue with Quibble about the books. I felt like it was a huge reference to Star Wars-fans: those who like the prequels, and those who don't. both sides have their points, but at the end, it comes down to your personal taste. of course.

I really loved the scene where Rainbow first entered the Daring Do-convention. the widened eyes, the gasping, it was perfect! they managed to recreate the atmosphere that I remember feeling during my first anime-convention (also: Body Pillows.). it just got better once Quibble appeared. they both play off one another so well, I can't find ANY fault with that. RD is at her best, and Quibble is just enjoyable throughout the whole freaking episode. It's. simply. perfect. (it's funny how I can hardly find anything to say when there's nothing to complain about).

two more things: first, Rainbow had the greatest expression to ever exist in this episode.

hands down, kids. the greatest face in all of MLP has been found. we can rest now.

    Second of all:

shipping! SO MUCH SHIPPING! I could sense a great disturbance in the force throughout the whole episode. as if millions of authors suddenly started typing aggressively! 'dis gonna be awesome.

actually in the live stream they where aggressively typing "I SHIP THIS" i of corse... do not -_- its a terrible ship imo

  9. I getcha. I would say that both are entitled to their opinions but, at least earlier on in the episode, it was Quibble and not Rainbow who was insistently following around the pony he disagreed with, making jabs, and generally harassing her. Maybe his lesson in the end was to let it go and respect others but I wonder if that's really true or not. I mean, consider that he was trying to get a "I'm wrong you're right" out of Rainbow. Later in the episode, circumstances lead Rainbow to literally say "he's usually right." So did he really learn or change at all or was that just fluff at the end he gave because he had already gotten what he wanted?

at the end it was quite obvious what the moral message is, everyone/everypony is different and entitled to an opinion, you just gotta learn to acknowledge it and put aside differences to work together

  10. I can't help but feel that this episode was somewhat fortuitously timed in relation to current events in the fandom. High visibility horse drama during high visibility horse drama? Inception! But the moral of the episode is perfectly timed as well. Being able to live with differences of opinion is kind of a lost art in the internet age because it's so easy to just ignore people you disagree with. But you often find yourself cut off from other positive experiences just because of a petty disagreement.

I really liked how Quibble's dispute with the story started out as a flimsy attempt to rationalize his subjective opinion and present it as objective fact, and by the end, he had learned to approach his critical analysis as more an observation that the later novels don't appeal to him, but, importantly, that doesn't make them objectively bad. And he pointed out that just because someone else doesn't like something you don't like doesn't mean you have to prove to them why you do like it. Basically, on both sides, you need to lose the ego, and be willing to consider that another person's experiences can be valid, at least to them.

The Daring Do body pillow made me laugh pretty hard. Quibble Pants was a perfectly realized character--kudos to the writing and performance on that one. Rainbow Dash as a straight pony works so much better than people realize. I've always found I like her more when she's written as competent but impulsive, and this episode nails it. Daring Do's relative uninvolvement in the plot was actually pretty nice--the episode wasn't about her, anyway. She was a great background pony. Honestly, it's hard to pick at nits in this episode. Very enjoyable overall.

Now can we talk about Rainbow Dash getting frisky with Quibble in the foam pit?

    ( O ) _ ( O ) NO. . . it must never happen
