      So any console of this gen is not counted? I guess the Wii and everything previous.

      My short reasons is that the PS2 outlasted its competitors, the original Xbox and GameCube, by almost twice as long as they lasted. The library if PS2 games is in the thousands, and it's just a great, durable, perfect system.
