  1. That's cool I guess. After all, good luck finding Gold Mario nowadays...
  2. Originally I was going to start collecting Amiibo, but when I saw how ridiculous the prices can get for the things online because of scammers I pretty much gave up and only own one which came with my Wii U anyway. Well, that's nice to hear I guess. We don't know yet, but I think cellular would be a pretty bad idea...
  3. Yeah, It's just too bad Nintendo are AWFUL at keeping the things stocked.
  4. Well, if there weren't Amiibo exclusive unlocks that would defeat the purpose of Amiibo. I'm not surprised Nintendo dragged out the DLC for Smash Bros for Wii U considering the hype surrounding each game. I did buy some DLC and found it a little not worth It's asking price though, I don't think It's the games fault, it looks really well done and competent, but I just couldn't get used to the controls. So when Super Smash Bros for Switch is inevitably announced I'm probably gonna skip out on it. You just made me imagine a Fisher Price style Wii U commercial XD
  5. To be honest, I don't think that's as bad. Think of it like early access games on Steam. Splatoon got better over time, but since the DLC was basically just free updates no-one really minded that much, and I'm part of that crows.
  6. Some people can be really impatient. You see, that's what I like about Nintendo, they make sure their game is finished and fun before you play it, something you can't trust most AAA developers to do nowadays, plus Nintendo doesn't do stupid DLC practices where they cut stuff out of the game to sell later... Apart from Smash Bros.
  7. Nintendo have announced they won't be discontinuing the DS line: http://www.idigitaltimes.com/nintendo-switch-will-not-replace-3ds-which-will-have-new-handheld-successor-future-564513 The Switch and DS are made by the same company, there's no competition. Besides, there's still a lot of potential for the DS despite the Switch reveal like the double screen and stylus, there's still a lot they can do with that. Also, I think saying Switch is competing with mobile games is ridiculous because the Switch obviously wins in the gaming department. What would you rather do, spend a few hours and possibly cash playing a mediocre puzzle game/some free to play waiting simulator etc. or spend a few hours playing Zelda Breath Of The Wild. I understand people have different tastes, and It's fine if you enjoy those games, heck, I play a lot of Temple Run and the MLP Gameloft game when I feel like it, but in terms of raw value and entertainment, I believe a full console game is much more fun to play than most mobile games out there. There's no competition there. Guess so... Nintendo usually stick to their release windows right? Little side note, I'm not sure that's actually Splatoon 2, it could just be an enhanced port with new features, because it doesn't seem different enough to be some kind of sequel.
  8. True, but then again Sony and Microsoft aren't exactly patient either...
  9. Perhaps they should have waited longer to launch it then.
  10. I actually thought the 3DS had a decent launch.
  11. I think they should launch with a mix of first and third party titles, and it seems like they are. We have Dragon Quest X and XI, plus Steamworld Heist confirmed, Just Dance 2017 (Though Just Dance doesn't interest me, I do have to wonder how they're going to make that work on the Switch...) and the rest are first party.
  12. Yeah, even with the Switch itself the launch lineup is looking a little bare at the moment, even for Nintendo. Nine games have been confirmed so far, only 5 of which I care about. Still, I'll wait as long as I have to, because if there's anything I learned from the Wii U It's that Nintendo drops the good games one by one over time it seems, their console launches aren't their strong suit. However, I guess that might be a good thing, because as some have said, releasing a ton of titles at the same time can lead to bad consequences.
  13. Well, that's neat. That makes me wonder if this'll hit at all with parents? I think they'll probably like it more than the Wii U at least, I took a couple hours for my mum to understand what the Wii U was.
  14. True, I'm hoping it won't be much of a hindrance. Yeah, I love how simple and sleek it looks.
  15. Well, the Wii U didn't have any pre-installed games.
  16. Well, there will be ports if that counts for anything.
  17. Yeah, I guess it makes sense, what with Nintendo being the only company left that doesn't make you install games even on a disc, those with a smaller budget would be smart enough to buy the games on disc whenever possible and only download the download exclusives. I actually think Nintendo might consider it. I remember seeing them do a similar thing with DS cases before. Heck, if Nintendo themselves don't do it, there are a lot of 3rd party companies out there who make accessories for Nintendo products, you'd be surprised, they could probably make one.
  18. I know, but the reason I think it may be included is that it was shown off so prominently in the trailer. I'm hoping Nintendo doesn't try that tactic again. Just release the system with the highest amount of GB space you can and don't waste your time developing smaller ones because no-one's gonna buy them, I don't see the 8GB Wii U appealing to anyone in my eyes, you can barely fit anything on it. Also, since the console will be portable, I think one cool way to get around the problem of space (for games available on cartridge anyway) is for Nintendo to create some kind of mini Switch cartridge holder, so like a case with a few Switch cartridge slots in it that can fit in your pocket for easy switching of games.
  19. I'd have thought that would be bundled in with the system. Now all we need is for Nintendo to release "I AM BREAD" on the Switch XD
  20. Most people say It'll be around $300 bucks.
  21. Is that the same one that comes with the system or is it something different? Forgive me, I never really used any extra controllers with the Wii U so I'm unfamiliar with the technology. The Wii U was actually my first home Nintendo console. I do have a Smash Bros one though, but sadly I need a Wiimote to use it, and I obviously don't have one.
  22. That'd be pretty interesting. Maybe she could teach us some things too. Let's get Sombra into rehab
  23. Oh yeah, that's another topic I think would be cool to discuss, what accessories do you think should be released on the system?
  24. I don't mean to brag, but to be honest, the price won't be an issue for me as long as I have time to plan out my savings, but I understand how for others they might not be able to afford it, or can and just don't agree with spending that much money on a console. You know what, I think that might just work. But I guess we'll have to see what Nintendo does.
