I don't even pay attention to movie critics anymore, only regular moviegoers. Tons of movies have gotten dismal reviews and then turned out to be regarded as timeless classics.

One of the kids books implied that Scootaloo's aunts are a lesbian couple, and Mike Vogel confirmed it. But no characters seen in the actual show have been confirmed as LGBT.
I haven't used this thread in so long
*sneaks back in and boops @Totally Lyra, @Rarity the Supreme, @Rhythm Red, and @Alexshy*
I might add that @Totally Lyra is pretty much the reason why this thread even exists one of their status updates turned into an explosion of boops and so a forum lounge thread was made to continue the fun
*also boops @Madam Rarity*
I'm a libertarian.
Some might say I'm a combination of liberal and conservative, but that's incorrect. I'm a liberal, but in a "the government should stay out of people's personal lives as long as they aren't harming anyone" kind of way, which is different from progressive social liberalism which requires more government intervention rather than less. I'm a conservative, but only when it comes to the size and scale of government. I believe that the state should primarily exist to 1. protect people's inalienable rights, 2. help settle civil disputes, and 3. provide a military to defend against attacks by foreign countries.
If "pandering" means showcasing fan favorite characters like Celestia and Luna whose pasts have been neglected for 8 seasons, and bringing back certain fan favorite characters who have only showed up once, then I really wouldn't mind it at all.
We've gotten more episodes like that in the past few seasons and I've really quite enjoyed it. I liked learning more about Celestia's past in Horse Play. I liked seeing Chrysalis, Tirek, Lightning Dust, etc. again. I liked seeing Trixie make more frequent appearances. I liked seeing Starswirl become a recurring character, even though he isn't quite the kind of pony I originally envisioned him to be.
I haven't watched any actual episodes, but I've seen clips and I really hope Hasbro doesn't go with that kind of animation for G5. It's just not my cup of tea. The premise seems very much like an MLP clone, with character designs closer to past generations than G4. But perhaps I'll give an episode a try, if a version with English subtitles is available.
Watch the YouTube channel Pamtri if you dare... almost every video on the channel is a very surreal cartoon parody with certain recurring elements and gags.

I don't think I've mentioned before that a friend of mine is one of the best short track drivers in my state right now. He won two rookie of the year awards in super late models and legend cars, respectively.
Now, this is Colorado, so drivers here don't necessarily have the kind of notoriety that drivers from other parts of the country might have. But he dreams of making it big in racing and who knows, he might just reach that point someday. He's now starting out in the SRL series that runs in the southwest.
I really don't like any math. But at least I'm not terrible at it. I'm just glad I didn't have to move on to calculus in college; I've heard horror stories about college math professors. All I had to take was a course that was basically a review of high school algebra, and then a stats class tailored toward research. Now I can go my last couple of years without taking any math classes whatsoever.
I want Twilight to have a major role in either the premiere or the finale, especially for a certain reason that I won't bother to mention here because it's a pretty big spoiler.
I want to see a Twilight and Trixie episode where they finally learn to warm up to each other.
And finally, I have an idea for a Twilight and Spike episode... I want to see them share a really tender moment, with Spike being sent as an ambassador to the dragons or whatnot towards the end of the season and both of them reminiscing about their incredibly close bond as Spike sets off pass on what he has learned from his time living with ponies.
Rainbow Dash annoyed the heck out of me when I first started watching the show. I remember cringing so hard at her incessant boasting. But I warmed up to her quite a bit as time went on, and I tend to enjoy Rainbow episodes a lot now.
