    If they don't have something similar in Gen 5, Equestria Girls will be the special mark MLP:FiM

    left on the fandom.

     

    I say this because I'm not totally sure if Gen 1 through 3.5 had any sort of spinoff series.

      G1 had My Little Pony Tales I believe. While the main show was more fantasy and adventure, Tales was SoL, and had a more close to home feel to it.

      G3/3.5 had Newborn Cuties
