      Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the EG universe have its own equivalent of the Tree of Harmony? And as we've seen from Pinkie's Pinkie sense as well as the fact that the humans where their respective cutie marks on their clothes or designs close to them, the 2 worlds are likely linked in that aspect

      Furthermore, I don't see it as unimaginable that the 2 trees are linked and pass information between the parallel universes in that manner

      And as TwiLuna stated, I believe it would be the cheek thing

      Would just like to see Sunset (and possibly scitwi) in the FiM world, rather than an EqG episode. Even if they were purely their pony selves, it would blow the minds of soo many "EqG isn't canon" fans... :)
