      I don't mind it. In fact, in some ways, I kind of prefer it to the library.

      I agree with @TheAnimationFanatic. As sad as it was to see it get destroyed (the end of an era, really), it was a significant part of an extremely emotional and amazing episode. :rarity: Change is unavoidable, whether we want it or not.

      Well destroying Sugar Cube Corner wouldn't have meant much story wise. Doesn't tug at the heartstrings nor would it be able to bring about the next arch in the story. 

      I personally love the castle. But they even address this in Castle Sweet Castle. Season 4 was kind of showing how Twilight wasn't use to being called a princess/didn't feel though she was one, so the castle kind of cemented that hey "I am a princesss" feel. 

      Totally understandable why somebody wouldn't like it aesthetically tho. I like the castle better tho XD
