    Seven years on a My Little Pony forum? Wow time flies. 
    I've made a lot of great friendships and memories here in my almost decade on MLP Forums and I can't thank everypony enough
    for their friendship, kindness and support during my time here.  
     
    I have to thank our ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE staff for being so awesome, kind and helpful during my years of making a plethora of posts about ponies.

    Talking to my Bestie @Pandora and telling her how ADORABLE her art is. 
     
    Talking to my BFFFF @Silky Spook and telling her how ADORABLE her art is. 
     
    Making my Best Forum Friends For Five-ever laugh with my art or status updates. 
     
    Visiting my Best Admin Friend For Five-ever, @The Wife of Rengoku or her visiting me. /
     
    Talking to @cuteycindyhoney and/or @Treeglow Flicker  about random stuff. 
     
    Posting banners, signatures and other types of artwork. 
     
    Talking about wrestling with @Denim&Venöm and @TheRockARooster. 
     
    Participating in the DuckTales RP with @ExplosionMare, @Clawdeen and @Totally Sunny.
     
    Being in the "Musketeers of Friendship" with @ExplosionMare and @Clawdeen. 
     
    Posting in my "Ask My Little Ponies" thread when I'm in that type of mood.

    Talking to @Dark Qiviut and nodding even though I don't know what he's talking about 99.9% of the time. JK. 
     
    Joking around with @Kyoshi about SpongeBob and pizza while also asking for signature advice sometimes. 
     
    But the thing that makes me the HAPPIEST OF ALL is when someone tells me that I've made their day. This is my purpose on MLP Forums and I'm proud to be able to do it.

    My history with My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic began somewhere around January 20-26, 2013.
     I remember I was watching a bunch of Epic Meal Time videos on Youtube when I saw the video "Epic Pie Time" by Silly Filly Studios 
    in my suggested videos section.
     
     I'd known about the FiM fandom from seeing signatures & avatars on other sites but this is the first time I had seen it "in the wild". 
    "Oh, why not," I thought to myself "This might be funny." so I clicked on the video and hoped for the best. 
     
    I remember being shocked by the colorful language & thinking "Is this a parody of a My Little Pony or is this real!?" 
    Now, I was on the hunt for the pilot to see if it was as over the top as the video I had just watched had led me to believe & after some searching I finally found it.
     
    As I sat down to watch the Friendship is Magic two parter a name popped up during the theme song that I recoginzed "Lauren Faust",
    a name I was familiar with but was also unfamiliar with at the same time. (I'm not a Powerpuff Girls or Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends fan.)
     
    Seeing Lauren Faust's name made me nervous but I kept watching hoping that maybe this wouldn't be like her husband Craig McKraken's previous cartoons
    that primarily focused on silly comedy.
     
    Fast forward to the end of the two part pilot where my initial reaction was "That was pretty meh." & feeling that I didn't think that I would continue watching the series. 
     
    A while later, I kept thinking "I should give it another try, maybe I'm missing something." to the point where I was arguing with myself over whether or not
    I should watch episode 3. 
     
    Finally, I gave in to my self-doubt & watched "The Ticket Master" which, I ended up enjoying a lot more than the pilot because it was a more of a slice of life/comedic
    story instead of an action adventure story. 
     
    "The Ticket Master" was the episode that hooked me & that caused me to catch up/binge watch the entire series up until the newest episode at the time
    "Just For Sidekicks" ("Games Ponies Play" was just a couple of days away at that point.).
     
    And so ends my history of how I became a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Thank You SO MUCH for taking the time to read this awful mess.

    Why is @ExplosionMare one of my Besties on MLP Forums? 
     
    She's kind. 
    She's smart. 
    She's creative. 
    She's funny. 
    She's loyal. 
    and she's honest. 
     
    And to top it all off, ExplosionMare is one of the few people who I feel like I can talk to about ANYTHING same for my other Bestie, @Lucky Bolt. 
    I know this is a copy/paste of my Lucky Bolt entry but I'm SO HAPPY and THANKFUL to have them both as my Besties that I can't think of any new words to describe

    Today is October 30, 2020 aka my headcanon birthday for Rarity so, I thought that I would list my reasons why I think Rarity is Best Pony. 
     
    1. This face and outfit. 
    2. Her generosity. 
     3. Her accent and singing voice. 
     
    3. Her relationship with Equestria Girls Applejack.  RariJack five-ever! 
    4. Her relationship with Sweetie Belle. 
    5. Her classic freak outs! 
     
    6. She reminds me of @Cistbiscuit (Dreambiscuit).

    Today is Friday and I couldn't think of a better way to celebrate than to talk about my BFFFF @Totally Nyx aka Totally Lyra, Totally Roseluck, ThunderGust and Totally Totally. 
    For the sake of my sanity, I'm going to call him "Totally __". /
     
    Totally ___ is someone who really likes what he likes, with the fan fiction "Past Sins" & the I'm guessing pony artist "Tsitra360" being his main sources of happiness. (I think.) 
     
    "Totally __ also enjoyed answering questions in his "Ask a Pony" topics with Nyx, Roseluck and me before "other things" took top priority in his life." 
    "Lyra!? I asked you to stay in your room." 
    "YOU CAN'T TELL ME WHAT TO DO, SPARKLEFAN!" 
     
    Well, this went downhill in a hurry.  Happy Friday, BFFFF!

    The One Thing I Think Gen 5 Did Better Than Friendship is Magic
    I think that the friendship between the characters in G5 is more realistic than FiM.
    FiM's Mane 6 was formed because of Celestia's behind the scenes shenanigans while G5 had Sunny Starscout meeting friends she already knew
    like, Sprout and Hitch Trailblazer or because of things that happened naturally like Izzy Moonbow visiting Maretime Bay because she had Sunny's letter.

    The names "Twilight Sparkle" and "Equestria Girls" are two names that have become very divisive amongst members of the Friendship is Magic fandom since the year 2013.
    Some say, that Twilight Sparkle became bland after she earned her wings while others have said that they like her even more in her new role as the Princess of Friendship.
     
    On the other end of the fandom, you have a group of people who dismiss a series where our favorite ponies are portrayed as Kool-Aid hued high school students and
    in particular, a timid glasses-wearing girl who represents the human universes version of the very Princess of Friendship whom the fandom had become split on.
     
    This my friends is "Sci-Twi" the subject of my blog, a character that on the surface may look like a simple "Twilight Sparkle with glasses." but in reality is someone
    who is similar to Princess Twilight while also being slightly different from her at the same time.  
     
    For example, while Princess Twilight Sparkle may rule over an entire country her human counterpart has to deal with far more mundane activities such as homework and
    the awkwardness of a first date.
     
    There are many things to like about both versions of Twilight Sparkle but the one thing that sets them apart in my opinion is the ability to put yourself in their shoes. 
     
    One battles mythical creatures while the other worries about deciphering text messages, one barely entertains the idea of relationships while the other has a
    steady boyfriend, one has a puppy dog while the other one has a baby dragon...You get the idea. 
     
    In conclusion, there's so much more to the human world's version of Twilight Sparkle besides a pair of glasses, you just have to look a little to find it.

    What Inspires Me To Make Signatures And Profile Banners?
    @Treeglow Flicker  and @ExplosionMare want to know what inspires me to make the signatures and profile banners that flood your notifications on a daily basis.
     
    I make my Rapunzel, Della Duck and MLP signatures and profile banners to help keep the memories of my favorite characters alive. 
     
    Sometimes I make things for friends, I post them on MLPF for praise and I use DeviantArt as a glorified backup.

    How can you not be friends with @cuteycindyhoney? It's (K)impossible! 
     
    cuteycindyhoney is a really cool person that I've learned a lot from in our short time getting to know each other. 
     
    She's something of an animation super fan who really seems to enjoy obscure animated projects as well as horror movies and TV shows I've never heard of. 
    Then there is what I consider to be Cindy's biggest passion "Doctor Who", and while sci-fi might not be my thing, I respect the amount of dedication she has for the show.
     
    Finally, we come to something I do recognize which is, Disney's "Kim Possible" a show I had watched once or twice and didn't really think much of until I kept seeing CCH's 
    avatar taunting me with a spooky "Watch Kim Possible, Sparklefan..." sort of siren song. 
     
    Fast forward to me binge watching Kim Possible in its entirety and *really* enjoying it! 
     
    I ask again: How can you not be friends with @cuteycindyhoney? It's (K)impossible!

    Ducklemma: Being A Disney Duck on a My Little Pony Forum
    I've gone through many avatars over the past five years or so,
    I've been a pony, a unicorn cat, a harlequin & even a human with long glowing hair but the avatar I have been constantly returning to over the last few months is that of a
    duck in a bomber jacket. 
     
    I don't know what it is about Disney ducks that I love so much, my favorite Disney TV hero is a duck, my favorite Disney TV heroine is a duck & even my favorite member of
    Walt Disney's main group of five is in fact, Donald Duck. 
     
    Could it be that I just find the design of the anthropomorphic duck appealing? Possibly. 
    Could it be that I think the "dueling pianos" scene between Donald and Daffy Duck from "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" is one of the coolest things I've ever seen? Yeah! 
     
    But the trouble I find myself in sometimes is this little voice in my head telling me to change my avatar to somepony like Rarity or to go try and make an OC of my own
    as a way of showing solidarity & being "one of the gang". 
     
    Then, I snap out of it and think "Hey, I'm a duck and if that makes me happy who cares how someone else feels about my non-pony avatar?" 
     
    The moral of this rant is to be proud of who you are (As long as it isn't hurting anyone.) & don't do something just because everyone else is.

    Now, I know you're probably thinking: "Sparklefan's favorite Disney Princess movie soundtrack isn't Tangled!?" and while this is true, it isn't for the reason that
    you may be thinking of. 
     
    While Tangled might have an adorkable lead and an exciting story, one thing that doesn't really interest me is the songs on Tangled's official movie soundtrack.
     
    Granted, Tangled does have "When Will My Life Begin?" but aside from that there isn't much else that I find myself listening to very often,
    besides "Kingdom Dance" aka the lantern festival sequence which is my favorite part of the entire film. 
     
    The Little Mermaid on the other hand, hooked me () right from the start with "Fathoms Below" and continued bringing such Disney classics as: 
    "Part of Your World", "Under the Sea", "Poor Unfortunate Souls" and of course my favorite song on the Little Mermaid soundtrack "Kiss the Girl". 
     
    I'm not a music critic by any means, but there is just something about Little Mermaid's soundtrack that stands out to me when comparing it to other classic Disney musicals
    like Mary Poppins, Beauty and the Beast and Frozen.

    @Treeglow Flicker is my Best Kirin Friend on MLP Forums!...*Whispers* What do you mean she's the only one? 
     
    Well, this is awkward... 
     
    As I was saying, Treeglow Flicker is my Best Kirin Friend on MLP Forums and is very smart, funny and kind. 
     
    My research has indicated that Treeglow's hobbies include: Housework, complaining and complaining about housework.  <-- You're Welcome for the visual aid, Darling. 
     
    I enjoy making Treeglow laugh and smile which, is surprisingly easy because we both have a similar sense of random humor that causes us both to laugh
    uncontrollably...Much to the confusion of the rest of the forum, I imagine. 
     
    In conclusion, Treeglow Flicker is an AWESOME and HILARIOUS friend and I wouldn't trade our unique friendship for anything.

    Equestria Girls: Friendship Games: Sci-Twi is introduced as an adorkably awkward loner who I just want to hug & say "Everything will be ok.".   Equestria Girls: The one that started it all. I may be in the minority but I thought Sunset Shimmer had a lot more of a personality as a villain.  Equestria Girls: Rainbow Rocks: The songs = AWESOME, The Dazzlings = AMAZING, Sunset Shimmer's character arc = INSPIRING what more can I say?   
    Top 3 Equestria Girls Youtube Shorts
    Pinkie Sitting: Adorable. Simple as that.  Five to Nine: Applejack singing is ALWAYS AWESOME to me & I think this song is really catchy.  Opening Night: Canterlot High puts on a school play. I don't know why but I really like this series.   
    Top 3 Equestria Girls Specials
    Equestria Girls: Forgotten Friendship: No one remembers who Sunset Shimmer is & that makes for an excellent story, IMO.  Equestria Girls: Sunset's Backstage Pass: Sunset Shimmer is stuck in a time loop & Pinkie Pie is obnoxious. Hilarity ensues.  Equestria Girls: Rollercoaster of Friendship: RariJack is made canon, IMO & that alone earns it a spot on this list.

    Loyalty. The mark of not just a great tag team partner but also a great friend. This is @Denim&Venöm in a nutshell. 
     
    My Best Wrestling Buddy For Five-ever and I have been friends for a while but I didn't always feel like we were particularly close for the first couple of years.
    As with a traditional pro wrestling locker room, it took some time for me to earn his respect and after a few years of being a part of the wrestling thread I feel as if I have finally
    accomplished that goal. 
     
    The moment I feel this took place was when Denim and I participated in the MLPF World Cup in 2018 and I showed that I could be a team player by making memes etc to help
    garner support from the members of this very forum. 
     
    Thank You for being such an AWESOME friend D.V.! You're the BEST friend/tag team partner a guy could ask for!

    1. Magical Mystery Cure: My first major event as a member of the Friendship is Magic fandom where my favorite character achieved the highest honor in her land. 
    2. Amending Fences: This gets better and better the more I watch it! The emotional moments are great & the the use of past events is a clever way to build the story. 
    3. It's About Time: An episode about a situation we all find ourselves in at one point in our lives. A great lesson with a funny set-up. 
    4. A Canterlot Wedding Parts 1&2: TWILIGHT SPARKLE DIDN'T (Need to) LEARN ANYTHING! SHE WAS RIGHT ALL ALONG! 
    5. Twilight's Kingdom: *Charlton Heston voice* YOU BLEW IT UP! 
    6. Gauntlet of Fire/Friendship University: Hey, "RariTwi" her name is part of it. 
    7. MMMystery on the Friendship Express: Twilight Sparkle is Best Watson & her detective hat is adorkable. 
    8. Sparkle's Seven: Twilight Sparkle wants to get a crown she could easily make herself. Hilarity ensues. 
     9. Winter Wrap Up: Everyone matters. At least that's what I got from it. 
     10. Lesson Zero:
    This is the episode when Twilight Sparkle became my favorite pony. It also used to be my favorite but I got tired of the Cutie Mark Crusaders scene making me cringe.

    Why Della Duck Is Best Duck, Formerly: How I Became a Fan of the DuckTales Reboot
    Because @TotallyNyx said so and I can't think of a reason why I would disagree with him.   
    In all seriousness, if you had asked me a few months ago if I would be watching and enjoying DuckTales 2017 I would've said "Probably not." because I didn't really enjoy the first few episodes very much plus I was comparing David Tennant's performance as Scrooge McDuck to the incomparable Alan Young who had been "my"            Scrooge McDuck for what feels like forever.
     
    I owe my DuckTales 2017 fandom to @ScaryStorm because of his DuckTales avatars and @Dark Qiviut because I probably wouldn't have given the show another
    chance if it weren't for his status updates where he would post his thoughts about the latest episodes.
     
    So, I gathered my nerve and went before The Great Muskox asking him if he thought I would this reboot of a show that I had enjoyed in the past. 
    As I "stood" before his greatness, my hands sweating and knees shaking I *think* I said: "Oh, Great Muskox I have traveled a great distance to seek your advice." to which
    he responded "What're you doing Sparklefan?" with a look of either respect or confusion. (I couldn't tell because the light emanating from him was in my eyes. )

    "ARE YOU TELLING ME THAT I WAS YOUR SECOND CHOICE!?" The muskox bellowed, fire in his eyes and on his breath. 
     
    "Third actually. Stormfury's not here." I blushed  "So, what're your thought's on the DuckTales reboot?" 
     
    "Eh, it's ok," The Great Muskox shrugged "You might wanna try it if you have the time'er whatever."  
     
    Elated I bowed to Dark Qiviut & proceeded to lay my offering of Sprite and Pop Rocks at his hooves. 
     
    Fast forward a little bit and I'm (Probably) the biggest Della Duck fan on MLP Forums!
