      The article needs to be updated.
      I just rewatched the episode (any excuse to revisit a classic is a good one!). Sam-R-I did not appear in it. I think whoever wrote it confused a certain background hero with him. The one in the background is a silver armored-clad superhero with gold horns. He also had a fully exposed, flesh-tone face. However, I believe that character is modeled after a knight, not a samurai. Similar color scheme, but clearly different. The horns were shaped like a Fleur-de-lis symbol.

      It's a very interesting episode. Most of the superheroes made for it were heavy based on different countries. The designs don't hold up very well since most of them are stereotypical. I imagine the only reason they didn't reuse Sam-R-I is either because they forgot, or because there wasn't room for him since they made a new Japanese superhero called E-Male. But hey! We got cameos from Space Ghost and Birdman. :love:

      @Samurai Equine Thanks for checking, my friend! :kindness: I was wondering if he maybe had a silent cameo, but sadly not. Most of the Justice Friends seem to have been there, and I always thought Sam-R-I was one of the more memorable ones (in part thanks to Rasslor's legendary line).

      Yeah, I know what you mean about the stereotypes – the older the cartoons, the more there are of those, and it's one of the very few aspects I don't like in the classics. But it sounds good in general – I might have to check that episode out myself once I'm done with my current project. :grin:
