Duality

Hello and welcome to this latest exclusive edition of "Duality Procrastinates"!

Last two weeks of tertiary study have been positively turpitudinous, hence my (presumably much-lamented) absence on the forums. Still two weeks of exams to go before I'm home and away, so I must tragically bid you a belated adieu for the most part until then.

But that's not all!

Hark, fair user, to the dulcet tones of my first attempt at a marketing pitch!

Also pathetically minor first-name-basis loosest-use-of-the-term 'spoilers' for the MLP Movie.

Now, my buddypal @TheOneGuy0000 bribed  'encouraged'  uh. . . asked nicely and said pretty please with an incentive on top for me to do this, so if you have any insults to defame my good name with about this go defame his good name instead. Far more satisfying; take it from me.

It turns out, see, that there's an official MLP app wherein you can build yourself your own customisable version of Equestria with all the major canon locations (Ponyville, Canterlot, the Crystal Empire, the Everfree, the Changeling Kingdom, Klugetown, etc.) and all the could-plausibly-be-considered-even-remotely-significant characters (everyone from Twilight Sparkle to Sapphire Shores to Lyra to Fizzlepop Berrytwist, and even Derpy hiding in a cardboard box every once in a while), voiced by their respective in-show voice actors.

You, as per the norm for this sort of game, build houses for ponies to live in, shops for you to accumulate your personal fortune via the magic of income tax, and special minigame buildings, all the while attempting to level up and complete show-episode-plotline-themed quests. However, there are certain quirky mechanics to the app, notably the fact that you can't build two of the same shop (each and every one is entirely unique in both function and income tax bits-per-minute value - protip: asparagus does not sell well) and the in-theme feature that becoming 'friends' with other users (by entering their friend code into a menu thingiedoodad) gives you kickback boosts of bits and gems and stuff (because friendship is magic is capitalism is quesadillas; Season 10 finale canon material right here).

Uh, so, like, anyway, you should like totally download the app because it's fun and stuff and I play it so should you and all that sort of thing, and there's this little box that pops up when you start playing the game that asks you if you were introduced to the app by a friend and if you enter the friend code "76b3898" into the box y'all get lots of extra gems and income tax and stuff whenever you level up and TheOneGuy also gets lots of gems and income tax and stuff when you level up because that's his friend code and that'll make him very happy and make him give me much of the aforementioned incentive for doing this and playing the MLP app will make you very happy because it's like the answer to life the universe and everything and also my friend code if you really wanna go overboard with the gems and income tax and stuff is "dedaab3" (any resemblance to the phrase "the dabber" is purely coincidental and should not be held against me but now you can't unsee it amirite but for realsies I just made the mistake of looking up the "Dab (dance)" Wikipedia page and now I know that Hillary Clinton once dabbed on TV and now you know that too isn't learning horrifying fun) and yeah like uh run-on sentences are fun and stuff but it would probably be advisable for me to stop this one right here but I'm not going to because I'm a rebel and I can take y'all grammar police people and I'm a fluent English speaker so I totally have like justification for butchering my mother tongue sadistically but not justification for butchering my mother's tongue sadistically because that would so get me grounded even though I'm too old to get grounded and also I have no life and no wings so I stay on the ground all by myself both figuratively and literally so there's no real point in redundantly doing something like that anyway and oh hey look the end of this sentence (and also the agony y'all grammar police are totally going through right about now but if it's any consolation I aced English in school so I'm betterer than you ha ha ha).

That devolved terrifyingly quickly.
