  1. There are so many byootiful alternate periodic tables in the world and I love it.

    Personal favourites are the Hyde table (for chemistry) and the Stowe-Janet-Scerri table (for physics):

      I always thought Time & Space were conjoined, but separate dimensions. First: Width/distance, Second: Height, Third: Depth, then Time and Space sharing, but both entirely different things in the Fifth Dimension. I'm sure there's more.

      You always thought right, then. :P

      Width, height, depth, and time are the four dimensions we've so far discovered to exist; they're conjoined, in that they're all different aspects of the same 4-D continuum (in the same sense that width, height, and depth are all different aspects of the same 3-D continuum), but separate, in that they're different dimensions. The only real difference between the time dimension and the space dimensions is that time is one-way - we can travel forwards, but not back (whereas in respect to the space dimensions we can travel to and fro at our leisure).
