  1. There are so many byootiful alternate periodic tables in the world and I love it.

    Personal favourites are the Hyde table (for chemistry) and the Stowe-Janet-Scerri table (for physics):

      Wait, but we don't measure photon speeds in photon lengths per photo-second, we measure it in metres per second. Photons don't technically have a 'length', in the normal sense of the word (or a 'size', for that matter) - they either act like infinitesimally small points, with a length/size of exactly zero, or 'blurry' probability distributions, with an unmeasurable length/size, depending on the situation.

      And they don't move in a 'grid' or 'leapfrog', either, they move like perfectly normal particles, just faster. :confused:

      Purdy, isn't it? :P

      Alternate Periodic Tables of Elements? What're you tal-

      *Hrng!*

      ... You know you're a nerd when you can list among your turn-ons simply that of: "Charts."

       Talk Science to me, baby! Gad, that is some gorgeous organization!

       Oh, and Trotter? That ain't "Speed of Time." That's speed of theoretical particles.

      You leave Time alone, She's MY Mistress!

      @Widdershins

      Well, the 'normal' periodic table uses organisation based on principal quantum number [n] value, while the Stowe-Janet-Scerri uses the far more significant value of [n + l] as the primary parameter of organisation.

      Clearly vastly superior, don't you agree? :proud:
