Duality

Ah the Christmas rush. I hope everything goes okay! You’re a good worker though, so I am sure you’ll get through! It’s good you got an extra week of break beforehand though. Do you have anything special planned for it? How about Christmas itself?

I haven’t been doing too great personally. Which sucks because I hate being stuck and I feel very much stuck when I get in a state like this. Just a veritable broken record. Forgive me if I unload too much on you. Let me know and I’ll clam up. My mom is doing alright the last few times I saw her. She’s still trying to see me get hooked up with someone but nobody’s interested. As for my buddy, he’s not been in the hospital so much lately thank God. But he’s slurring his words more which is a symptom of what he has. Still has the amazing talent of breaking every video game he plays. Like falling through the map or breaking the main characters arms. I am pretty sure he managed to despawn an enemy in a fighting game before. Pretty sure that’s not supposed to happen.

Work has been busy as well. No promotion for me but hopefully someday. Another teller quit a week or so ago so we’re down one more person. The other day I couldn’t even stop helping the line long enough to tie my shoe. And I am very proud of finally learning to do that!

Now I am thinking of what exactly I can get you for Christmas over the forum. Last year was a crummy Video but I think I have an idea for this year!

The day after tomorrow I'll be going down the line to visit my aunty and cousins for a week, which covers the whole extra week off. I'm also planning to go on a camping trip for a few days after Christmas in a nice rural area up north a bit. How about yourself? Got anything planned?

That's not good. I hope things look up for you soon. Don't worry about unloading, it's no trouble at all. In fact you almost never come across as actually unloading on me, since you always have good things to talk about as well as bad. Let me know if there's anything I can do to help brighten up your day, but in the meantime I can most avidly listen to how things are going for you. 

Good to hear that things seem to have at least stabilised for your mother and gone well with regards your buddy's operation. Is he healing up okay now? Hospital let him out without concern?

I'm sure somebody will become interested in you. You're a hardworking and trustworthy guy with a great sense of humour and a good head on your shoulders. They'll find you eventually, mark my words.

Good job on shoe-tying! It's no mean feat given that you don't learn any other knots in your life unless you're in the navy or the forest rangers. Keep working as well as you have been and the promoters themselves will end up losing their jobs to you.

I haven't been able to think of a gift for you yet either. I have a couple of other people on the forums I want to get something for too but the trouble is in making gifts that transmit digitally. It may come a bit late but rest assured I'll figure something out in the end.

That sounds like a nice trip! And well earned I’d say. You’re a hard worker and deserve the break! Be sure to pack bug spray. They say mosquitoes aren’t out right now but it would be just like those little trolls to turn the ecosystem on it’s head to screw with us. I will probably be seeing my mom. Last time we did that my dad had to stop on the way to get some beer because it’s the only way to handle her. She can be a lot.
 

Thank you man, I appreciate you immensely. You’re a very good friend. He hasn’t updated me since he told me the procedure went well. There have been occasions in the last few years where they kept him in the hospital for over a week, and others where he was out the same day. I hope they let him out sooner rather than later.

Thank you for saying that. I have a lunch with my mom’s side of the family Saturday. I hope they don’t bring up my singleness like last time. Embarrassing as hell.

 I learned the square knot in high school gym. This was between archery, running back and forth, and standing outside for 57 minutes because some kid pulled the fire alarm for no reason. But hey, no class when that happened.

No pressure. You don’t even have to get me anything if you don’t want to or if it’s too much trouble. I know what you mean about digital gifts. It only leaves so many options. I tried jamming a gift into my charger port on my phone with your username on it but the gift didn’t like that nor did my phone. Who’d a thought?
