I forget if I've brought it up before, but there's nothing sweeter then going into the walk in freezers at work! It's quite rejuvenating to chill my lungs after continuously walking through the Boiling room. Sometimes I can even get ice crystals to form on my forearms!
...though I worry that going from a high seventies room to negative three or more so fast might be causing me health problems.

Okay, we just had a MASSIVE Hail-Storm!!! O_O
It wasn't as bad as the one we had a few years ago, but it was still pretty bad. I was about to watch A New Hope (I finished watching the prequel trilogy), but then I went to the toilet and it started to rain. There's a couple of heavy drops and then...all hell broke loose!!!
When we went to pick up the hail-stones, there were some that were as big as a 50c piece
It was TERRIFYING!!!
Throughout the day, the weather forecast said there was gonna be thunderstorms. Early this morning, it was cloudy. It was constantly fluctuating throughout the afternoon. It was mostly cloudy, but the sun came out here and there...

I didn't think it would turn into a Hail-Storm!!!
Luckily, nothing was damaged and our cars were in the garage at that time...and now, I'm soaking wet from picking up all the hail-stones. Guess I'll have to pick up some new slippers tomorrow

I wonder if I'm the only horror fan on this forum. It doesn't seem to be a very well-received thing here.

Anyone else hate it when your doctor predicts you will be well over 6 feet tall and you wind up peaking at 5' 5"?
Just me?

"How I want a drink - alcoholic, of course - after the heavy lectures involving quantum mechanics."
The maths book I'm reading proposed this mnemonic for memorisation of the first 15 digits of pi (the number of letters in each word in order giving 3.14159265358979). The perfect fusion of our interests.

To one of the smartest people I know, Merry Christmas. And I do mean that, by the way. You seem very knowledgeable and are a very nice person. I think maybe you will appreciate this, then:
Not much of a gift, but Merry Christmas again !

I don't even know why I bother.

The misuse of apostrophes is running rampant. You do not use them to indicate a plural version of a word,
(ex.
Incorrect: The mailbox is filled with envelope's.
Correct: The mailbox is filled with envelopes.)-whatever this misuse would be called is not a use case,
(ex.
Incorrect: The toy company sue'd the comic company.
Correct: The toy company sued the comic company.)
-and the only reason to use an apostrophe in the case of it's is for a contraction of it is.
(ex.
Incorrect: Its not it's fault. It doesn't know better.
Correct: It's not its fault. It doesn't know better.
(Same story with doesn't- it's a contraction of does not. That's (that is) what the apostrophe indicates.))

You know that feeling of goblins doing a clog dance in your stomach?
That’s me right now. *sad violin noises*
on the plus side I have some really good vodka to celebrate not feeling this way.
*happy kazoo noises*

Gen 8 release trailer shows the Professor's study.
A huuuuge, beautiful library, complete with library ladders and in the center of it all is a terrarium. And in that, there's a hi-tech diagnostic tablet sending constant recordings & scans of said plants over to the rather simple work desk. Behind that, there's an extremely detailed graph of the structure of a Charizard's head & skull shape.
From this, we can tell the local professor collects plants & studies, primarily, the ratios & mathematical comparison of how everything relates to everything else in a very geometric way. Considering the very plant-heavy surroundings, sufficed to say the professor is very aware & familiar with their chosen element.
@Duality confirmed for new Gen 8 Galak Pokemon Professor!

I've been reading a lot bout prion diseases such as Scrapie and CJD. Scary stuff, especially considering the spread of chronic wasting disease (CWD) in deer. Hope it doesn't jump the species barrier

I just had a guy named Steve Austin at work and so I commented on how Stone Cold it was outside.
Blank stare.
