Oh! Forgot! I have GOT to watch The Shape of Water!
I am so happy that mainstream media production is catching onto the concept of Monster Love! ...w-wait.. let me explain that.
What the Shape of Water is, is a story of the lady falling in love with the monster, learning to love & trust each other despite their drastic differences or how they first came into contact. AND he doesn't transform into some handsome human at the end to make it "all okay" by the end! Specifically, its the Creature from the Black Lagoon.
That's kind of what I've always been wishing for, more upon the theme of that it doesn't matter so much of what you are, look like or been through. Just so long as your willing to be friendly & love one another. Give others a chance. You're not a monster because you've been persecuted as one, look like one o-or... or been told your whole life that you are.
It is those that close themselves off, allow their hearts to die into a cold lump and refuse to grow or allow others into their lives is when one truly becomes a monster.
...Oh, and for those of you who dislike romance, (trust me, I can sympathize with you there. Music, much?) don't worry, I hear there's loads of intrigue & suspense to be had in the movie too! How could you not have the cliche of "somebody trying to put the monster away for the sake of society & standards?"
I've really gotta look into Gueirro Del Tormo! (Let me know if I got his name right.) I keep confusing him with that other fancy director-guy who did D'Jango Unchained and... that... that thingie what with the lady with the machine-gun-pegleg. Latter is still totally awesome, but it's hard not to call it schlock.
