Irish have a whole shlew o' folklore that can be quite thought provoking. Look into that maybe?

@Sherbert  Well, part Scot-Irish that is, I am! Tha' sorta general direction, I ain' looked into it none! 

 Done me a bit of rummaging though. The Scots with their history of rebellion and being just the best at stubborn n' brutal defenses; the Irish with their hardscrabble life o' trying to reak a livin' out of the rocky, wind-blasted land of the Isles.

  The Celtic culture is well known for its Druidic bent on things, but it's mighty hard ta track anything down. By the time the Romans came in to found Britain, they made darn sure to tamp down what culture was there... but in the most "agreeable" manner possible. As rebellious as the Scottish & Irish tribes were, you had to at least make them think they were somewhat involved with your religion. So much of Celtic mythology got lost in the fierce conversion to Christianity. It's hard to figure out what their culture even was before as so many of their "gods" got tampered down into just heroic mortals with magic undertones. There's no telling what they used to be.

 But, sufficed to say, you can tell the old Isle mythology when it comes up! From giant demonic dogs the size of cars that wait by the roadside in the night to waylay travellers or cows the size of entire counties that spew out literal mountains of cheese...

   THERE AIN'T NO ROOM FOR SUBTLETY IN SCOTS-IRISH BLOOD!!!
