QUESTION!!
So, if a "Mary Sue" is defined by warping a story to fit only it, does that mean you can't have an RP where you're telling your characters' story & allowing others to participate & sidetrack while still having vague plot points that you'll eventually wish to cover?

Well, @A.V., there are the character archetypes of the Paragon & most protagonists at that, generally. Where a character can be written to be inherently good or altruistic in everything. Why I say that there's no real way for any writing to be wholly bad. Batman & Superman fit the description of a Gary Stu, after all. If the story was about them from the start and intended to bloat them with importance... they kinda have to be. That's what any adventure story is about: "How's Batman gonna get outta this scrape now!??!"
But I digress.
Got me a big project in mind for these forums... a sort of Aided Storytelling perhaps. But that'll have to wait once things get settled over on my end.
...is "shoehorning" bad? Because I kind of always saw unabashedly butting into things as sort of tradition in a humorous tale or skit.

@Widdershins Comedy is probably the exception to the whole shoehorning problem.
