 They weren't fish.

 Squiggly little half-eel things that seemed to actively avoid the water. Like newts, but no back legs and lil' flippy fins for arms. Yet they climbed like itty bitt masters! Even the biggest was no bigger then the lil' crabby crab that crabbed its crabby self on by!

 S'what I said! They just went about flibbin' their jibbets!

 And Yeh! A Pox on you, Water! Sometimes I honestly find myself at the beach, creeping up to the slow tide... lean backward and tentatively pat my foot down on the receding tide and think to myself: "Yeh! Yeh! You take that, ocean! You're not so tough!!!"

 I'm very anti-water. But pro-ice. Except drinking water. That's pretty awesome.

 Admittedly, Maxie's plan kind of depended almost entirely on prodding an ancient god-beast into doing all the work for them. Wasn't much actual plan there. And kicking PokeGodzilla is a pretty dumb plan.

 I ASSUME, that it was IMPLIED that there would still be lakes, minor bodies of water... because... you know, life still does depend heavily on water to survive.   ...but yes, "less water", good idea. Not no water at all.
