What’s wrong with her wings in the first place?

@Widdershins - Yeah, I get that, but I recently picked up some of the early Aviators albums, and this was on there....

which brings tears to my eyes whenever I hear it.

@Stone Cold Steve Tuna - nobody knows; she was meant to be disabled from Faust's original design, and exactly why was never addressed. It can't be just the size of her wings, as most pegasus fillies have wings around that size, and bulk biceps' wings are STILL about that size (assumptions about steroid side effects...)

She seems to provide plenty of thrust though, so maybe if she had Windsock's canvas wings?

Hmm, while I can see where Faust was coming from, as the CMC were intended to be outcasts of their class I can understand why they didn't. Hasbro might have seen it as a bit unnecessarily sad. 

 That's the thing about wings too, anything goes wrong with the feathers and it ruins the flight. It might not be that she can't, considering the supposed magical airborne capabilities of pegusai in this world, but just that it is harder and more unsafe to learn how to fly with underdeveloped wings.

 I tell you, had an ear infection at just the wrong time of my learning to hear English and that kind of mucked everything else up in terms of parsing language.
