  1. ^_^ Squee!  Books!

Happy Twilight Day everypony! :P Love the new banner! :o Turns out there's also a new free books pile nearby too!:adorkable:

  2. Interestingly enough, my favorite chocolate so far was the one time we stumbled upon a Salted Caramel Chocolate Bar. Tasted more like cleaning supplies, but still my honest favorite so far! ... I am not overly fond of chocolate in general.
  3. The Movie made Furries cannon in Equestria. That's inarguable.

My question: Does that then mean I can go full feral & not even vaguely pony for a character set in the pony world?

Just a huge, flightless raptor bird. Beak as big as a toaster oven!

  4. Good Heavens! You actually Parkour?!!? Well you certainly are a pegasus sort!

I'm more of a coil in front of the fireplace kinda guy!

I haven't been able to do that in quite a while sadly. Not much time and not a whole lot of places to do much more than the basics around here. :(

Most of my exercise comes from biking, I bike about 8 miles a day on the weekdays (4 miles to work and 4 back).. Other than that I have to occasionally lift heavy boxes and equipment for my job and sometimes lift large fallen logs or branches from storms at home. :derp:

Most of my parkour nowadays is just getting through some occasional obstacles on the way from work to pizza hut and back :P (fences, jumping up/down little ledges and stuff, etc.)

And the rest of my free time is spent reading, writing, gaming, relaxing, or forums. :)

      Widdershins

My reaction to parkour is likely AJ's to any of RD's tricks. Only seen it a couple of times before & it totally screws with my depth perception! Never been much of one for balance or Speed myself!

Have yet to see a job that minds waiting for a four mile commute, but I am still new to the working world. What with making time for a life outside of my shifts.

You write too?!  Been trying to start in on that myself!

I do a little bit when I have the time. If you're curious, most of my stuff is on Fimfiction under the username Storm Shine. I think it's okay, not great but not terrible.

Right now pretty much all of it is HIE (Human in Equestria) because I was binge reading the stuff when I started those stories. Haven't finished any of them just yet, and I want to try to finish them before I move on.

  5. "A Godzilla & MLP crossover"

     Yes, pony kaijus.

... If it exists, there is Pony of it. Bronies are like the Sonic fandom, just more organized. (But still a rung below Trekkies)

    1. Duality

      Duality

We have a comparable amount of fanart to the Trekkies, methinks, even with the decades less time we've been a popular fandom. :pout:

    2. Widdershins

      Widdershins

The Trekkers do have Doctor Who crossover; so that's a feather in their collective cap. But I do doubt they have had a kaiju, of all unsubtle things, linked to their storytelling!

  6. Often, I keep missing the corners of my mouth when shaving, leaving behind little whiskers.

I may be a bit standoffish, but highly emotional. I can't ask for it, but I greatly appreciate shows of affection.

My favorite spot on me is right next to my worst spot is, were I'll throttle you if you cross that imaginary line. And no, I won't tell you where.

I am rather lithe & smaller than my size would imply. I always wear a tiny bell & eat smaller birds & fish.

I pride my cleanliness, but hate water. I've picked up a habit of batting my face, mouth & sides of my hair with the back of my paw.

Heck, I even get partially hypnotized by dangly things & string.

Guys! I THINK IM TURNING INTO A CAT!!!

    🐱

    1. Storm Shine

      Storm Shine

That's okay, I tend to swat at dangly things and string and stuff too. When I was back in Highschool I spent almost half an hour in guitar class just batting at the loose string..

Ah well, could be worse, could be turning into an anteater :P

      Also... *Huggles* :squee:

Thanks, Shiny! You're always so chipper!

I was doing things cool before doing things before they were cool was cool!

  9. In the theme of the One Piece show's mythology, was thinking about one rather wormy guy that goes through all the trouble of getting a Devil Fruit with the hope of getting amazing powers only to get duped into a less impressive power: The Ability to Turn Into A Llama! Ability to kick decently hard, shock-absorbing fluff & it's probably mighty hard to fight when the other guy keeps spitting on your face. His shtick would be that he just can't get over the fact that he's stuck with being the llama & there's not much you can do with that. "Oh, big combatant-boss-guys coming & who do they send out to stop them..? The Llama! Ooh! I'll just llama at you then! Look. We all know how this'll end... ... I challenge you to a... Spitting Contest! Winner for the round gets to kick the other guy's face."
  10. You can only be outside of the Chuck Norris fan club once you stop existing. All existence owes itself to Mr. Norris after all. The Big Bang happened when Chuck Norris willed one of his beard hairs to shed a small fragment of itself.
  11. Would y'all hate me if I made a female whale character... and named her Amber Gris?

  12. ... would you say good things come to those who stop trying so hard for it?

That defing yourself by achieving your goal robs you of ever knowing when to stop or enjoy the way there? The difference between Hunter & Hunting?

    1. Lord Valtasar

To whit, One who is full of MAN!

Oh, Lovecraft. Sometimes your so adorable in your dated-ness!

...don't suppose anyone could help fill me with man? I surely am severely lacking in sufficient man! Got to be careful in exact measurement of your Man, know what'll happen if you get too much man in your system!

  15. Not been... feeling too well.

Every time I get into a job, can't shake the feeling that any fool machine would do a better job. Even when the other employees show it's okay to slack off a bit for short breaks or waste company resources by being an inefficient Baka, it just enrages me with their interference in what's supposed to be my job & responsibility. Just flys into the face of what I was taught when I walked in!

     I just can't be happy.

Well, you did say you got some computer job thing right? Rather respectable of a position I suppose. Diecast model cars don't come cheap!

Though I'm sure I am not the only one to wonder if the effort is worth the reward. Have to wonder how any makes work work when it takes up more than half of the day. (I count sleep as leading to work. I certainly can't sleep for personal enjoyment.)

    3. SolarFlare13

      SolarFlare13

oh that was only for a certain amount of time :sunny: I don't really have a job.

  17. ACTUALLY... what is & isn't a fairy is as vague as what a "troll" is in conventional mythology. Especially in Celtic myth, these creatures varied from gnomelike helpers to giant, demonic dogs & bodiless whisps. Fae basically meant magical; where we got the most mary-sue of fantasy species, the Elves. So, you'll have to be more specific than faerie. As we are talking about parasitic bughorses here, the closest I can think of is the Nucklevee. And the less said about them, the better.
  18. Bidets are awesome.

     You should totally get one!

I have mixed feelings about this...

  19. ... She's White. ...nobrony pointed this out yet? White hair pretty much is pigmentless or outright dead...right? Regardless, white reflects all color so that means there's nothing in it to show color to begin with. Which is why stains & etcetera show up so much easier. Which means, any white-coated pony is just reflecting off a tint of their own skin. That little fact is the basis of my ponysona. Rarity could very well be already bald or patchy. I feel we've already seen the main six with chunks of fur taken out. If they had wanted to portray her as that comically effected, they would have. Just that would be more concerning, like she was sick, and against the theme that she was blowing the problem out of proportion. Besides, pink & white splotches would be too hideous to animate. I'm sure they were aiming for misfortune, not "dying lab rat."
  20. You have an interest in vacuum cleaners?!!? I think I actually can form a conversation on that! They so don't make them like they used to!

Oh, and think you followed me a while back. If so, thanks!

If that's you in your avatar, such a cute, fluffy mane!

  21. Well... to answer last first: Perhaps like as not. I was... well, like my ponysona, rather a Latchkey Colt. (Yes, I am trying to get that term to catch on, lol!) A rather indoors sort. My Mother was in charge of most everything and she wasn't much the sort to buy stuff if she could help it. Getting the best, newest stuff like supposedly every youthspawn cries for was hardly a priority. What video games I did get were either a rare, cheap find some associate of Mother's was getting rid of anyhow or were just there to get me out of her hair for long enough. What was cheap, and could be obtained en masse from the Stores of Thrift that my Progenitor did haunt... was books! Books were my friends, my days, my introduction to so very much in life like adventure, the outside world and even most concepts like... well, even Friendship. For most of my first half of my life, I didn't go without at least a full wall of books regardless of how many times we moved. I spent alotta time at home, even in lieu of school learning itself with nothing else around but my books. Books were & are my life! ...and granted, television in the Nineties wasn't exactly stellar anyhow. Not the midday programming that I did get to anyway. Sufficed to say, keeping my head in the clouds was not only preferred but the way I dealt with... a lot of things. ... I'm sure most have caught on to why I spell Mother with a Capital M. .... Don' eeeeee'en get me started!
  22. What? I'm not allowed to respond to questions in your own Ask Thread in a hostile takeov- I mean, if I can be witty while doing so? And of course not, @Soren Peregrine! If the weird creatures in the shadows had any specifics to them, they'd be less frightening and lose all the built up urban mythology to them, eh? Suppose Slenderman counts as one of the more substantial/famous case of them. They're the living shadow puppets; the half-remembered nightmares you can't recall if you were awake or asleep at the time. Ghost stories, really. My point is: just because something is hard to comprehend what their motives is doesn't make them evil or a daemon. Yaay! I got to be referred to as plural! Aye, because that's what I was thinking. Some Biologist claiming that nature can't do something, then a few years down the road they find a whole knew species with an adaptation that seems to specifically fault that one guy's theory. You know the old adage: Every Rule has its exceptions!... including that one too. Well, that's sort of the point, I feel. That philosophy (kinda did forget that it does apply to most everything; like taking a philosophical stance on mathematical theorems.) is more about thinking about thinking. Not so much finding the right answers, as being fully aware that any approach to a problem has its points & merits. After all, some of the best explorations are bent around what you could assume to be the case, if you did it. Like mathematically or scientifically assuming what the inside of a black hole is like. In all honesty, that's likely the biggest compliment I've gotten! More time to think when you jar yourself into neutral, eh? Personally, I Pride my Proclivity to Paralytic Potential. How do you tell the gender of your cane? Any tips on going to bed at night? Y'know, since you the one always braggin' about sleeping for, like, 48 hours straight or somethin'. Think I'll count you as my Sleep Sempai! And what's your favorite flavor? Best food you've had? ... And, considering biology and my tendency to use you instead of actually doing the research myself, What is the maximum height & mass that a boned, mammalian lifeform can reach before gravity forces cause bones & other structures to collapse under their own weight? Higher in aquatic biomes, I'm sure, but is that lessened any by being only semi-aquatic?
  23. Maybe its the giant, authoritative blue text or that one time you had a Eragorn-esque avatar, but I get a vague feeling you might be a dragon.

The car is a Porsche 911 RSR. It competes in the GTE class in the World Endurance Championship and the IMSA Weathertech Sportscar Championship in the US in the GTLM class. It's best known for having a nice sound.

      ...Okay, I'll bite.

There ain't much I know about cars, but as I say, there's little I know a lot of!

What's the numbers & acronym after the car brand name? Take it those are races then? What quantifies as a good sound in a vehicle? What's a Livery?

...yeh, I could google that last one, but I ain't on a reliable device to do that. Sounds like it has something to do with horses 🐴 🐎

      Well thanks! :)

Truthfully I've ended up being so busy with real life for the last few months I wasn't able to do much of anything online, but I'm getting back to my art and will hopefully be getting some of the pony-themed stuff I want to do done this next year :)

Think that mighta been a month two years ago, but... do I still get credit for raising you from the proverbial dead? Eh, that involves me having a sense of time.

You get to what ya get to! Forums & art are a diversion, I come back here because of my being busy! The day ya make a job out of them is when the creativity dries up.

You art? I oughta art. How do ya art? I hear the young'uns got fancy computer programs n' such, can't keep up with such doodadery.

  25.  If you ever want a boost to your ego... come up to me actin' like a dragon. As I say, daring to call yourself a dragon & playin' it off like it ain't no big deal is so a dragon thing to do! ...and trying to deny that your a dragon to put me off the scent is also So Dragon.

I love Dragon so much that I cannot allow myself to miss out on potentially befriending a dragon.

Lurking is allowed, eh? Think I'll try haunting some even vaguely dragony forumgoers. Y'all let me know if there be any dragons here that need any attention!
