    Why do people tell you not to stand and block a fire exit? If there is a fire anything flammable with legs is not going to be blocking it.

      My guess is that it's easier to see it's a fire exit if there's no one standing in the way. Also, it includes not putting objects blocking the exit.

      Blocking it with objects I could understand, which is why I specifically mentioned "with legs". But just standing in front of it... if there was a fire, I doubt anyone would just be standing there.

      Mannequins being the exception I suppose.
