"We can't keep people on lockdown with no end in sight." Thank you Ron Desantis!
I love our governor, he's got common sense unlike a LOT of politicians.
Also, I am a proud supporter of Trump but at the moment I am disappointed with how he's been handling this "pandemic". I feel like he could do more to keep everything from closing down, especially for those of us who are struggling financially with this. Our beaches were shut down due to the fact that "young people didn't heed the "social distancing" rule"
I think closing down everything and this whole "social distancing" concept is very stupid. This is my opinion. And to the people who are hoarding water, canned goods, bread, toilet paper, cleaning supplies, etc.....please stop.

I agree that this is becoming a problem, however, without the social distancing and shutdowns, the virus would spread across the entire world. Everyone would eventually be infected. That would cause millions of deaths! I have multiple people in my family who are at high risk of being hospitalized from COVID-19, so we're really glad that social distancing has been put in place.
As for the "hoarding" of bread, toilet paper, etc. There are many people who have large families, such as mine, and they need a LOT of resources to meet their basic needs.
With everything being shut down, production of such goods could be temporarily halted. Without a previously obtained supply of resources, this could be devastating for families like mine. When resources are limited, the government usually puts restrictions on how much each family can purchase of that resource, assuming that most families can make due. (The limit is based on a "regular" or "average" sized family, not my family. My immediate family has 18 people!) If my family didn't have a large supply of the resources already stocked up, then we would not be able to meet our basic needs.
It's somewhat complicated to understand, but for some people, it's just what needs to be done.
