One thing I won’t do is let politics destroy a friendship.  Well for the most part (if someone is a racist or intentionally advocates for harm to others then screw them) 

Other than that I have friends who are communists, and I have friends who are heavy Trump supporters and probably  believe every conspiracy in the book.   I don’t agree with any of  them, but they’ve been good friends to me I know that much. 

Exactly. The people who start insulting you and being racist over a little issue are not worth your time. 

Unfortunately people like that do exist on this forum and only show their true nature in DMs. Such people are the worst type of people. 

I'm a libertarian myself, to me any discrimination against anyone for something they were born as is stupid. Gender, race, sexuality as it does not and should not define your character. Yet while personally I try to not talk about politics much usually when I disagree with someone I simply think to myself I agree to disagree.
