  1. For me it was the overall feel I got from it. The world, the characters, the general vibe - all of it just made me want to stay, probably because it was something I needed at that moment of my life. Also, Fluttershy. NGL, she was a major factor, at least during the first season.
  2. Life made me desensitized to many things, but cartoons bring out the tender-hearted side of me. I'm actually thankful to MLP for helping me embrace it.
  3. Is this Queen Chrysalis?

Of course not. Don't be ridiculous.

      That's obviously Thorax.

  4. I feel optimistic all the time… aside from my regular autumn melancholy, winter depression, spring apathy and summertime sadness, each lasting 3 months. But really it June or July, when I usually have the longest vacation.
  5. Sleeping Beauties by Stephen and Owen Kings. I didn't know anything about it when I started, but I quickly found out that it's about a pandemic. Fitting.
  6. As a show that has been around for so long, it was bound to predict some things - they had an episode about virtually everything (remember the "Simpsons did it!" joke?). Although it's quite interesting that they once had a virus that came from Asia, and people rioting and tearing down a statue in the same episode:
  7. The 79th issue of the official comic has a classic BG ponies combo: Derpy trying to help: Lyra and hands (and Bon Bon, of course): Berry Punch and punch:
  8. As usual, I was late for most shows, so this year I watched a lot of stuff that had been released years ago, but also some new things: Band of Brothers – a very powerful viewing experience. So many great actors launched they career in this series. Having real WW2 veterans sharing their memories before each episode was a nice touch. The Boys (season 2) – not as good as season 1 (because novelty is gone, I guess), but still a quality series with many satisfying moments. The Mandalorian (season 1) – I liked that it’s a simple show with simple stories, just like the shows I grew up on. Not a masterpiece, but I enjoyed it. Doctor Who (series 12) – very disappointing, apart from a few episodes. After Life – the best show I’ve seen this year. It’s funny’ it’s sad, and it’s short. Just like life. Good Omens – a very uplifting series about the last days before the end of the world, and an unlikely friendship between an angel and a demon. Cobra Kai – finished season 2 today. Surprisingly good and enjoyable. It’s been a long time since I saw something that good about martial arts. Cartoon series: She-Ra and the Princesses of Power – the best animated series I’ve seen this year. For a long time I had been hesitant to watch it, but when I started I was hooked and binged it all in a week and a half. One of those shows where even villains are extremely likeable. Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure – I wanted to quit in the middle of season 1, but gradually the show got better, and I enjoyed every next season more and more. The Owl House – a very cute show with Gravity Falls vibes. Can’t wait for season 2. Also, I rewatched all 10 seasons of Adventure Time after they announced that new episodes were coming this year. It’s still great!
  9. Here's what Jim Miller said in his Q&A: Q: Was Grogar being Discord in disguise always planned, or was that added in later drafts for the season arc? A: It was planned from the beginning. You think we were going to let a brand new baddie (new to this Gen, anyway) be the one to take on our girls at the end? We wanted it to be those 3 to have that personal connection.
  10. Finished Good Omens miniseries. An optimistic show about the end of the world, just what you need in 2020. And it's fairly faithful to the book.

    Bonus: it's about friendship.

Gonna make its intro my new ringtone.

  11. The Karate Kid (1984). The first half was so 80s, it was just unbearably cute. And the rest was just great, even though I knew what was gonna happen thanks to the movie being referenced everywhere. Corny, cheesy, cliched and brilliant. Back when you could play "You're The Best" in your movie unironically - great times! I guess I'm prepared to watch Cobra Kai now.
  12. It turns out the greatest superhero of all time, Rem Lezar, hasn't been ponified yet. I'm disappointed.

  13. Generally, Applejack, so I voted for her. However, if RD kicks someone while performing a sonic rainboom, the kick will theoretically be more powerful than any of AJ's bucking (but will probably end badly for Rainbow herself).
  14. As usual, it's Fluttershy-style Halloween for me. I planned to rewatch Nightmare Night-themed MLP episodes tonight, and I already have, so I guess I'll go to bed now.
  15. Just rewatched Luna Eclipsed. The episode is as good now as it was when I first saw it.

Also, one of the very fist brony songs I've ever heard is related to it.

I hope everyone has a good Nightmare Night this year :LunaMCM:

My Nightmare Night has been good! :ithastolookpretty:

  16. Happy Nightmare Night, everyone! I'll rewatch MLP Nightmare Night episodes, maybe watch a movie and read a Stephen King book.
  17. I'm neutral on this topic. I don't plan to ever get married and don't see any benefits to myself in it, but I don't mind other people get married if marriage makes them happy.
  18. How can I trade something I don't have? I could trade my lack of talents for the acceptance of my lack of talents, if this makes sense.
  19. This has been the soundtrack of my life for the last decade, so I might as well listen to it for the rest of my days.
  20. In sports like athletics or boxing (at least on the top level) physical inequalities are quite obvious, but what I don't understand is why there are still separate men's and women's chess and checkers tournaments.
  21. I like this one for how it looks out of context.
  22. Royal cheeseburger pizza, especially with cream cheese stuffed crust.
  23. She is a cool pony and has a cool big brother
  24. My friends initially were a bit surprised that I watch cartoons for kids, but quickly got used to me referencing MLP and other cartoons, and even started using some memes themselves. Now they I regularly get pony-related presents for my birthday, so I'm glad I've always been open about watching MLP.
