There was once a fiery king and kind queen who ruled Equestria, the queen was fair and kind. She was also aware of everything that went on. The king was an alicorn of fire, and his personality reflected it, he was rebellious, and such. The queen controlled the sky, and the king the fires that churned beneath the ground.
Peace continued for several years until a single, powerful alicorn. This unicorn was after the queen, he loved her, adored her...almost too much. He was also one of the few who were around when the universe was made, he made things like time, and death, he controlled the icey north. He found that the queen had been taken by the king, he hated the king personally, and retreated to the icy north, out of view. He began planning his assault, it would start with an eternal winter, and the freezing of all life besides him and the queen, to be together for eternity.
But that would not come to last, as the king had found out, the ice alicorn and the fiery king had battled for an entire weak, eventually the king was victorious, and he banished the ice alicorn to the furthest planet: Pluto.
The ice alicorn's influence wasn't defeated though, and for one season, he would be in control of the weather, weathers were harsh for centuries, until one single pony became his love, and they were together on Pluto for eternity, the weathers became gentle throughout the winter.

Unicorns and Alicorns aren't the same thing, right?
Oh, so this guy just controlled everything then?
Taken by the king? What? No? You started out saying they were together, meaning they always have been, right?
Wait, why does he hate the king? Why bother retreating?
How is it possible to freeze everything but two things? Wouldn't that just make life miserable after if you can only ever interact with one other thing? Like, you know, livin' in a void? Wouldn't ya get the same results just freezing himself and the Queen then?
Speeled week wrong. (hah, yeah, I know, did that on purpose!)
Wait, Equestria has a Pluto in its solar system too? Can we even make Pluto fanfics if it ain't a planet anymore?
Wait, how does he still have influence somewheres he's so far away from that he couldn't possibly see anymore? How can he form a relationship with another pony if he's no where near them? Ain't that kind of a death sentence for that new mate, having to zip off to another planet for eternity & leave their life behind?
I don't know what Pluto has to do with Winticorns.
Not bad, stretch it out more with some backstory & specifics and it could make for a good Equestria rendition of the whole Hades & Demeter story of how winter came around.
Just a sort of stream-of-consciousness barrage of questions that came up during reading it. I don't intend to criticize or expect you to answer any of 'em.
