Wait... you mean to say that this Shimmer isn't the one that caused whatever implied havoc that resulted in the celestial bodies crashing together to grant this rather impressive mental image? Then what is the significance of her "Sombraeyes?" Think it's warrented that that effect isn't natural because,really, the only example we have of it is from a stallion that bolly well dissolved himself into a smoke monster from some supposed deal or magic or what have you! If she wants power, then how does that connect to righting nature? Sure, the implications are awesome for a story, but what import is there to Twilight then, what with the way she's just tossed in as the last word?

Oh yes. Twilight did exactly that..

Sombra eyes mean dark magic, I think. She got her power by taking down the rulers of the crystal empire and asserting herself as the ruler, to combat the skeleton armies of Starlight and light ponies of Twilight.

 ...There is a LOT behind this that ya haven't yet told us beyond this one status, ain't there?

  Granted, the smoky part of it, yes, that's been shown as indictive of "Dark Magic" in the show. If indeed, that is a class of magic in this world. Don't think its every been explicitly mentioned as such. The green & red eyes with a curved horn? No, THAT has GOT to be just a Sombra thing! I just get this strong feeling that he was some tyrant in the past who made some sorta nasty deal with powers most unicorns would dare not consider & became warped into what he exists as now.

  ...I've heard him compared as almost point-for-point as Lord Sauron from LotR.
