  Well, actually... I've brought up the comic books before. She actually does get imprisoned, in a legitimate, high-security prison. Like, Red Dragon style if ya get me. Her and her small, still-loyal contingent of changelings. Yet that still doesn't keep from having a story set around her. The Main Six go to ask her about how she's faring & her past and she does seem legitimately despondent about where her evil has gotten her. Not enough to keep her from breaking out though...

  Thing is, the crux of Chrysalis is that she's foremost a selfish tyrant. If you somehow took that out, then what would be left of her character, right? That'd be like taking the near-homicidal whimsy out of Discord! Reformation is a sliding scale. Discord is open to it, because he basically only really wanted to have fun. Beings like Sombra or Tirek are just too far gone. Tirek maybe... but that'd take some major writing chops, I say. Back in the day, in the original show, ponies did not hesitate to blow a villain to fragments! Heck, think Catrina nearly got thrown into her own giant meat-grinder! Remind me again why MLP gets a rep of being namby-pamby and all friendship n' rainbows?

If they do go for the reformation route, I at the very least hope they make some effort to make it convincing and drawn-out. I'm getting sick of how they treated Sunset, Starlight and the Changelings with their redemptions.
