    The sun is not a gentle light. It is a strong, commanding light. A light that commands all the heavens and sky from our view. Its a leader, with discipline and knowledge. I feel Celestia should have been born a male alicorn, the sun is not mother sun, it is father. Luna is spot on though, though if only her sister was a brother...

    Would also like to see the alicorn of the stars, and the alicorn of earth. Which would complete the 4 mains. (Sun, Moon, Stars, Earth)

      Celestia does not suit her cutie mark. The sun is not gentle, the sun is a commanding, ruling and kingly force. Some could disagree, though there never is a female sun, from what I know.

      Oh, so only men are allowed to be assertive or leadership material, eh? Oh, I kid.

       Thing about deep prose (and don't get me wrong here, you did quite well there!) is that it can go both ways!

      Consider the Sun from another viewpoint; for there always is yet another faucet to everything. The Sun truly is the basis for all life. Yet, you need to get in an even distance from it. A few orbits too far and despite its attempts to help out, you'll be left cold & dead. Get too close to the Sun, and you'll be burned to a dead husk by its unintentional, unrelenting power. Why, even in the very unique, possibly one of a kind in any solar system, situation we cannot even look directly at the sun or even stay out too long in it. Despite it's importance, in spite of how much good it does... it's still a burning ball of gas, lying alone in the cold dark of space. Friendless. 

       Like Superman, you can be capable of so very many things, but if doing everything and burning bright can only do as much harm as if you hadn't tried at all. Pity the Sun, For it helps everything grow, yet none can ever stand alongside it.
