That's always fascinating... a smell that brings back memories. I'm not even sure why those particular smells do it (and I don't even remember what they are), but there are a few that take me back to my early childhood...
Yeah that is surely true, one of them is the smell of that old washer we had in the mid 2000's, my dad and I took it all apart when I was 3 and that started my extreme interest in appliances and stuff, the smell was the smell of that soap and stuff.
Yeah, I think the smell of soap is one of those for me too! And usually my memories are from when I was about four or five, so I guess the phenomenon is really similar for both of us!
