I am now a pegasus, I have reached 7,000 posts after 4 and a half years on this forum! One of my grand goals on this place has been achieved! 

Just watched Star trek first contact, pretty good movie! The start of it I found fairly dry though.

Came up with an alternate universe.
 

In this alternate universe, Twilight is never enrolled in Celestia's magic school and instead attends some other school in Canterlot. She quickly absorbs herself in her studies, and throughout the years only grows to become only more cynical and hard nosed in her values. Never opening herself up to others, she is able to focus her efforts in for good. The Mane 6 never get together due to no Sonic Rainboom, and the elements of harmony are never found by them

Twilight does not only excel in terms of academia, but also that of magic. She is not trained by Celestia, but rather by a group of elite unicorn wizards who have direct lineage back to the line of Starswirl. It is discovered that she has a line of linage that goes back to that of King Sombra, and upon discovering this she is eventually cast out.

Without opening up to anyone, she turns inward and becomes quite bitter and only becomes more obsessed with magic and understanding it - without understanding the consequences. Twilight eventually goes up against a corrupt education establishment and in doing so pits herself against Celestia, who is the one who established this educational system. The two are at odds, and Twilight is actually able to prove her points in the court of the law but is shot down by Celestia. In rage, Celestia banishes Twilight from Canterlot.

Nightmare Moon in this universe was never a thing, and Luna ruled at Celestia's side up until the present. King Sombra returns, and Twilight finds an interest in the Dark King. Twilight had learned all she could about what was allowed, but her curiosity hungered for much more. She ends up traveling to the Crystal Empire, and upon her dueling with King Sombra to prove her value to him, King Sombra takes her as his prized student. After learning his mistakes the first time around, King Sombra rolls back some of his tyranny and allows for some freedoms in the Empire, this way many Crystal Ponies are more keen to follow him and he does not have to enslave them.

King Sombra as the leader of the Crystal Empire does not instantly attack, rather he bides his time and by further corrupting Twilight's mind he is able to learn hundreds of years worth of knowledge from Twilight, upon Twilight stealing many spell books from Canterlot and allowing him to read. They study, practice, plan and end up having a really good dynamic. After a few years of this, and after constantly dealing with outside threats the Crystal Empire invades Equestria.

Using Twilight's knowledge the Crystal Ponies under King Sombra are able to deal heavy blows to Equestria much sooner on, and defeat the royal guard after gruelling horrific battles. Upon the final battle in Canterlot, when King Sombra was furthering his conquest elsewhere, Twilight is able to destroy the old school she was brought up in and cursed those who sided against her in the court trial, as well as those unicorns who once taught her. They are enslaved by Twilight and forced to bear witness the dual of King Sombra and Twilight, against Celestia and Luna.

Celestia and Luna are defeated and are banished into the Sun, and the Moon respectively. King Sombra and Twilight make some sort of agreement in which the Crystal Empire annexes Equestria and their rule is established. King Sombra transforms Twilight into some sort of Shadow alicorn (shadowcorn).

 They rule for several centuries and there is eventually some sort of disagreement between them and Twilight eventually would overthrow King Sombra, and banish him into the frozen North. However, the conflict between them caused a massive war that ended most civilization and Twilight and those who survived reside within Canterlot.

King Sombra himself is able to curse the land into an eternal winter upon his dying breathe, leading the world to be trapped in ice. Various towns manage to survive by walling themselves off from the rest of the world using advanced technologies that were developed upon centuries in the making. 

These towns and cities reside walled off, disconnected from one another and gradually the planet itself would start to die from eternal winter. Despite this, the ponies manage to survive in their sealed off domes and in underground cities. Twilight, who rules in canterlot became a ruler who hid all knowledge of the outside world and re-wrote history itself.

Throughout the land eventually, after more centuries the sealed off towns of Equestria would develop some sort of sled transport across the vast ice and snow planes across Equestria but contact would remain rare, and seldom. In Twilight's sealed off city of Canterlot there are two ponies named Collapse and Amber Heart.

Collapse and Amber heart eventually somehow escape from Twilight's sealed city, and are the first to do manage an escape. Once they escape, they are confronted by the real world that surrounded the sealed city and manage to hijack one of the sled machines and end up going on an epic adventure where they discover the truth of the real world, and what really happened while exploring their own identity. 

God damn, the nostalgia.
 

Reading over some instagram chats I had with people in my school back in 7th and 8th grade. God damn. I was quite a different person, it feels so wrong to read what I read back then. But I have changed. I am better. I will be better, for I have moved on.

The supermoon tonight.

Coronal Flare bio (not necessarily for my AU, but in general):



After Celestia's paranoia and deep desire to protect her subjects grew on her, she refused to lower the sun and make way for the night. Genuinely believing this was for the good of the land, her paranoia and envy for Luna's night and ability to connect to ponies dreams had caused her to snap. When she refused to lower the sun, she felt a massive surge of power that transformed her into Coronal Flare. According to her, Celestia is long since dead.

In the past before her banishment, and brief reign over Equestria she had organized a legion of pegasi called the Flarebolts to enforce her whims on the land as well as her guards. She would still keep up the image of an all powerful, yet kind and graceful princess. However, offend her and it is the last thing you will ever do. She annihilate rebellions with brutal focused solar beams from the sun, and would go on large paranoid tirades that would strike fear, and obedience into most ponies. Submit to her, and you will be fine. If not, you will burn.

Due to Coronal Flare's power, the sun itself had swelled in size a bit, causing the planet itself to become warmer, especially when bathed in the eternal noon sun. According to her, this is for your own good. She wants to keep the ponies safe. But in doing so, she will do far worse things to maintain her rule and to ensure the safety of those she rules over. Although Coronal Flare is aware of the effects of eternal day, and sends out her pegasi to blanket the sky in clouds to keep out most of the harsh rays from the areas inhabited.

However, under her rule the deserts have expanded. Often when you go so far beyond an inhabited region there are new vast deserts. While Coronal Flare would preserve most forests with her pegasi constantly watering them and making sure they do not die, there has been massive desertification of the land. Due to the extreme heat of the sun shining down on the planet itself and the eternal day, even with the pegasi working around the clock to keep the land in check Coronal Flare has to do what is called "venting". She will basically set the atmosphere on fire at high altitudes and then the excess heat will be whipped into aurora like flames at high altitudes that are visible for hours. She also does this to strike fear, and amaze her subjects.

Under her rule, she would destroy all knowledge of astronomy or the moon. She would have engaged in a deadly battle with Luna, which resulted in the complete destruction of the castle of the two sisters and parts of Equestria due to Earthquakes and solar beams. After being banished into the sun by the elements of harmony she became the "mare in the sun", despite this, her influence over the sun would remain and that would have forced Luna to make the night longer than the day to make up for excess heat put out by the sun.

In her time in the Sun, Coronal Flare's mind had went even more insane and diabolical. Her ambitions became one of a menace, wanting complete control over the world and to control the lives of every citizen to some degree. While still wanting to keep ponies safe from the terrors of the night, she is now mainly out for her own power and control. In her rage, she can destroy many lives and would most likely rule even harsher than intended. 

Coronal Flare is capable of many things such as: Complete Solar Manipulation, Fire Manipulation, Immortality, healing from damage rather quickly especially when in the light of her sun, not being burnt by flame or blinded by light, can cause Earthquakes and landslides. Assume the form of flame itself.

If her power is destroyed by the elements of harmony, she will basically revert back into Celestia. However, she would never return to her old colorful mane. Her mane would permanently resemble the one she had as Coronal Flare, as well as her cutie mark. By the elements, she would lose her demonic features and become very sorry for what she did.

 

I woke up feeling some sort of pressure within my chest, and throughout the day something was off with my heart area, and while I was in the car driving I'd get pains when I laughed, and when I laughed one final time I felt something sort of like 'dislodge' or 'snap' and then all that has been gone since then. Since a real young age now and then I've felt things off about my heart but then it just goes back to normal. Nothing to worry about.

Celestia and Luna's parents for my AU. I used bases to create these, credit to the original creators of these bases.

King Helius - Guardian of the day, and the King of the land. He rules with fairness and strength. He is a very masculine character personifying the sun in the world of Equus. His responsibility is raising and lowering the sun, and keeping watch over the land during the day and carrying out day to day tasks with commoners and his royal duties. He is the one who deals with laws and decrees within his court. Helius's guards resemble angels. 

Queen Cynthia (also Referred to as Nightmare Moon interchangeably) - Guardian and keeper of the dreams. She is generally more harsher than her husband, and deals with threats across the land with her army of bat ponies (the race that she created). Cynthia can influence those of dreams to create beautiful dreams, and horrible nightmares for those who deserve it, hence the name Nightmare Moon. However, she is also extremely graceful and mysterious adding to her allure. She is responsible for raising the Moon and lowering the moon as well. 

Equestria was once two kingdoms, the Kingdom of the Sun, and the Kingdom of the Moon. In each kingdom it was eternal day, and eternal Night. The world was split into Eternal Day, and Eternal Night many thousands of years ago. Occasionally the two kingdoms would go to war, but Accord (Discord) had convinced the two of them to marry each other, creating a land of peace and harmony. Because of their marriage, they would both agree that the Sun and the Moon would rotate across the sky, creating the cycle of day and Night. 

Upon their marriage, a new capital would be built. Canterlot, and a new castle would be built to house the King and the Queen. The old capitals were still kept up and would serve as personal retreats or home away from home.  

We can never predict the future, we can not change the past. But we can act now, and make our choices. The present is called a present for a reason. A gift of having the power to make a choice.
