@Catpone Cerberus Sombra's eyes twitched at the question and he brought himself to Una closely. He looked deeply into her eyes, staring her down. "You don't know what hate is." he said with a seething quiet sigh. "I am hate. You don't know what it's like to lose an army against imperialist aggressors...and then to be banished into some limbo between realms where all you have is your thoughts..." his eye twitched again. "My thoughts consumed me, for a thousand years...I thought that I could return, and finally find satisfaction in conquering what I rightfully deserved..." he quivered a bit and shook somewhat. "And then I lose everything again. My original body. It was only due to my horn surviving the blast that I was able to reform my body. It was a long process. I was weak. I never felt so helpless in my life..." he said, as he gazed back out at the castle of the Princesses. "They will pay for it...I will take what they love - and shatter it in-front of their eyes like they did with me..." he shut his eyes and sighed, trying to control himself. It took about a minute - he was almost about to burst into rage. He then would lean back. "I am beyond obsessed. It has consumed me." he spoke, more speaking to himself - than to Una. There was a hint of sorrow and pity in his voice. It was a more raw, candid reaction than one would probably expect.

I would definitely choose to marry my best friend over a stranger.

@Princess Silky Yes. Maud and Pinkie are sisters but they are completely different - but still love each other very much without judgement. Just like us. *huggies*

You've done yourself something that most around here I don't really see - forming a circle of friends, but your circle of friends, is more wide ranging than what else I've seen here.

@Catpone Cerberus Sombra would ponder Una's suggestion. "Perhaps they have something like that." he would speak as he gathered more books to read, related to the ones he was already reading. He would get up and stretch from sitting in the same place for hours, and then proceed to look around. After a while, they found a long hallway in the back with many private reading areas. All of the rooms were occupied, except for one room. The room itself was rather large, and had various maps for where to find things in the library. Outside of the window, he could see Celestia's castle. He scowled.

@Illiad Easle @Blitz Boom Spiral would have wanted to reply to Apollo's rants, but him forcing the changeling guard in front of her caused her to lose focus on Apollo for a second. The guard suddenly combusting into flames caused Spiral to pull away from Apollo quickly at that moment, Maud had done the same, because she were relying on Apollo being stabbed with the Thestralium - so she could also get her own blows in at the same time. Spiral pulling away meant that Maud wasn't able to do what she had planned on doing so. Spiral didn't know that the changeling guard would suddenly burst into flames like that. No matter how quickly she wanted to pull away - she knew that it was unlikely that the guard would have survived that. Spiral realized that she didn't entirely know what Thestralium really even was or what it did - other than the fact that it was the antithesis to Apollo's Minostralium on his body. If they were going to defeat Apollo, Spiral was sure she wasn't going to lose her Thestralium here. Spiral took a moment to look back at the wall - and it seemed like the other Equestrians weren't going to make it through. Good. This battle here was quite honestly a mess, and adding more to it would mean the chances of victory were even slimmer. Upon seeing the Consul being thrown onto Red, Maud would have ran over in an attempt to help him. What Apollo said about him - running away when his only friend walked to his death? What was that about? Apollo knew more than she thought, but that wasn't going to change her alliance with the Consul. Spiral would move to over Maud as she ran towards the Consul, guarding her as she went along. The flashbang caused the two to stagger somewhat. The fight seemed to stop for a second, and in Maud's mind - an eerie silence reigned for what felt like an eternity. As both were moving into Red's direction they saw Plein and her mother doing something - whatever it was, it resulted in Red being burned up just like that changeling guard. Suffice to say - that phase of the battle was now over. Maud didn't feel much of anything while she saw Red burning - she chose the path she wanted and got what she deserved. She hoped that after this that the other Equestrians onboard would surrender like the ones in the stairwell had - as evidenced by there no longer being banging on the black crystal of the wall. While Spiral almost...enjoyed seeing Red burn up like that. Spiral was a lot darker in character than most were, after all. Red had mislead many Equestrians and a good number of them died for it. That was something that Spiral wasn't willing to forgive. Now that Red was dealt with and the Equestrians by this point had stood down, both Maud and Spiral would turn towards Apollo. Spiral would speak first to Apollo. "I was like you once. I was a power hungry fool who only cared about power. In my past life, I would spend countless hours reading and researching ways to gain power over others. That was centuries ago. Before the Elements of Harmony. I was lucky enough to know life before Discord, before the Elements - before any of that. Life was peaceful, back then. I squandered it through my own senseless ambition. Instead of forming a family, friendships, or just simply enjoying life - I sacrificed it all. Even my own sanity." she paused for a moment, allowing the others to hear her words. "It killed me in the end. It was only thanks to another's selfish greed did I come back to life. I took over her mind. I locked her away because I felt that I could manipulate and control her like I did others in my life, up to that point. In time, I realized that this thought process would only lead to destruction. I was given a second chance, a second body. I let her go. I'm not going to waste my life again on power. This is your final chance to surrender and let go of your Pride." Spiral said with determination. After Spiral spoke, Maud would speak to Apollo now. "I was willing to follow your orders. Until you gave me this." Maud said, and pulled out the card Apollo gave her. "You threatened me with death. You speak of Elements. I find it fitting that you are the Element of Pride. In the beginning, you were a good leader. Instead you have become selfish and only concerned about your selfish Pride rather than the good of all." she then would pause as she put the card away, looking over the rest of them. "You are hereby removed from duty." Maud would speak, a clear scowl forming across her otherwise cold face. After that, Spiral and Maud would get ready to fight Apollo - but neither would strike first.

@Blitz Boom The Orb Room was extraordinarily large. There were dozens of orbs arranged in many levels. Each of them containing a pony. The ponies could be seen through the frosted glass. Many of them were trapped in varying poses - some fearful, others were angry. A lot of the others simply seemed to be sleeping. All various types - all but fillies and colts. They didn't have much magic after all. Upon seeing Operata and Veil looking at the mare in the crystal - Spectra would chuckle somewhat. A devious chuckle. An evil one. "I think it's time for you to know who what you are really dealing with." Spectra chuckled deviously. Her body glowed white for a split second. There was a flash of light. After the light had flashed, Spectra looked a lot different. her coat was a brown color. Her mane and tail were various shades of grey with various streaks of black running through it. Her eyes were a deep yellow color - predatory, yet within them contained a vast amount of wisdom. On her flank - a setting sun was no more, instead, there was a simple scroll. "You two are my loyal servants. Everything I did in fighting Malevolence - that was true, but you don't know why I came in the first place." she spoke, in a giggly voice to Veil. "I came to work with him. Duke Mindstorm, that is. I wanted to find a loyal ally in him. Evidently he turned out to be some...ancient freakazoid hivemind thing that is impossible to reason with. Gah! Makes it all the harder." she shook her head in frustration. "I figured what you did for me was enough for me to reveal my real look to you." she then would stroll on over to a specific Orb, pointing to the blue mare within - that looked exactly like that of Magloria. "Her? When you first saw me? I looked like her. Magloria was captain of the seas. Like me, she had disability. She and I could actually relate. She's a half breed between a zebra and a unicorn. Nobody liked her. She hated life. I thought she'd listen to me. I thought she'd help me...but no, turned out just like the others!" she boasted and laughed. "But was the first of many..." she smirked wildly as she went over to Operata's wife contained in the orb. "If it makes you more comfortable, I can assume her look." she said, looking into his eyes with a more sultry looked as if Operata, and his love were her most prized possessions.
