I'm starting to get burnt out. I feel as if my capacity to really commit to things erodes away as my interest isn't really there anymore. I find that my time has been spent focusing on the people who are truly close to me, most of them are people not on the forums.

How have you been?

Do I have your permission to make a requestria thread about my idea of "Silver Star", Star Silk's sister? Since she looks somewhat similar to you, I would be posting an image or two of your character in the thread so there is a reference to go off of. Is this okay with you, Silky?

Brought this thing back to life (hopefully!). Cleaned it off. Been in the barn for 6 1/2 years since it was thought to be broken. The screws are rusted badly, but I cleaned it off real good and I'm gonna see if it works. If it does, I will upgrade various parts of it.
It was a Christmas gift in 2011, funny how 11 years have passed since I got it, almost how old I was at the time, probably!

Friends!

I made a mockup for Silver Star's cutie mark, if you are okay with me thinking of / making a character who looks similar to yours (though she isn't the same). Would the name be alright? It is similar to "Star Silk" - I don't wanna copy ya.

That's very ironic, considering I was thinking of putting a sun symbol in her mane (thinking it was possibly burnt on there by accident), as Silky has the little yellow moon in the front of her mane, but that's really interesting to think of...
The color of her eye is not natural either, we can say she accidentally spilled some sort of fluid in her eye which changed the color of it's iris.
This character is not a negative character, or someone who is negative, she just has a lot of depth within her and usually doesn't tell others about it, since she wants to preserve their innocence.I am reminded of a dream I had once some time ago. I was doing some intense mongol throat singing, and all of reality just ripped away like a blanket. As this happened, I felt like I was moved up beyond the speed of light, and I looked down, to see the 'blanket' removed from reality, and as I looked around, I felt like my perception was extremely altered to where I had complete awareness of all directions, all that could ever possibly be, and in the "distance" I saw what looked a lot like the filaments within an iris.
To feel as if you don't have a body. To feel as if you are awareness itself - that's where I got a lot of the inspiration for this from.

That is very nice artwork! The sun is powerful, it's very interesting that you connected her with the sun, the most powerful object in the solar system, with trillions of nuclear explosions a second, light taking millions of years to reach the surface, the sunquakes, solar tornadoes and even CLOUDS on the sun...but she's the most gentle pony. -
*her eyes light up as she listens to the depths of your explanation on the interesting character and then on the profound experiences of your dreams and how they connect. She was always in silent awe of your dreams and the intensity of them* Ohhh! I see! I really like her a lot, then. She sounds fascinating beyond words. I also can't help but connect her to the characters of, say, an H.P Lovecraft book... there's always so much elusive mystery to it... as if it conceals more than it says...
Quoteit's very interesting that you connected her with the sun
See, that's the interesting bit. I didn't commission this. It was gifted to me by a friend who said I was like the sun to their group. Warm, illuminating and allowing flowers to bloom from nourishment...
*blushes as she recollects the words* They're very generous and kind people...
I suppose there are destructive and creative aspects to both sun and moon.
The crescent lock on Silky's mane was due to my connecting her more to the moon due to the magical practices and fascination she has of it. Never connected her to the sun but it seems my friends hold another opinion.
An interesting paradox when connected to your character and how she's linked to the moon but may have a symbol of the sun in her hair. Quite interesting, indeed! -
A lot of my inspiration for this character comes from my own internal monolog, which surprisingly sometimes, is oddly cartoony and flashy. This character would talk in strange tones, with oddly specific movements in her step and movement, as if she is being "flashy", not in a show offy manner, but with prominent stances, and poses here or there.
I specifically created this character to not work with plants, as Starry does, and so do my other characters Heed Green and Opia, instead this character works with chemicals and magical fluids found in rocks, I imagine. I have no idea how alchemy or any of that works, so I just have to inference.
Her thing is making potions for the consumption of others, she is very much inspired by a transformers character:https://tfwiki.net/wiki/Alchemist_Prime
Maybe you'll interact with her sometime. She is to be your sister after all! I like to imagine they are twins though, neither older than the other, born at the exact same time.
*Reaches out and gently pats Silky's mane and then strokes her ears, watching the light shine between them*
I saw a Fox today, a young fox. Really poofy orange tail.

Since the last time we spoke, I am indeed capable of art...

@Princess Silky
Gosh, you are so kind!
Heh, long lost sister...funny thing really - I had an idea. Starry was adopted by Magloria right? What if she had a biological sister somewhere? I already got a name in mind - Silver Star. -
-
She would look similar to you, but silver instead of the yellow, and a lot more of a dual purple / silver mane and tail color. Maybe one silver eye too.
Silver and gold!

I was watching this video here as we were talking, and I honestly found it hard not to cry. I think it's something important for people to see.

My circle is literally me and my best friend, very few pony friends I've made on here, and my immediate family, I'd be willing to open it up a little to people that think like I do, prioritize the same sentiments that I do, at least have some common interests, but just bc we or anyone simply "want" to be a part of someone's life, without a genuine connection, it's forceful and borderline "rapey" imho, no some of us just literally have no connection to each other as human beings, like no even the mutual type of discussion we're having right now, no rejection isnt just exclusive to relationships, it is a part of finding your place in the world, jobs, friendships, some of us even reject a majority of our own families, it's like if I have no problem removing someone toxic from my life that I'm unfortunately related to, what in gods green Earth makes you think I have any problem rejecting someone that I don't, and that has done nothing but try to put me down, nah I'm not gonna drink paint thinner and eat nails knowingly... I like people that are good for me, MY goals, and MY health, I'm with you, just wish I could execute your sentiment as easily as you are able to...

All you see from me here is what I wish to tell you - and present to others. If you knew the full story, you'd know that it isn't so easy. In all reality, I only really put my attention and care towards people who I feel deserve my time. Otherwise, I leave people alone to their own devices.
The way that I see it - you should commit to things because you want to do them. There are no obligations for you to spend time with anyone, especially online. You decide who you interact with on your own terms. The same goes for everyone else. -
