IC: The Frozen North (1x1 with Blitz Boom)
Spectral Fade replied to Magloria 's topic in Advanced Roleplays
@Blitz Boom Spectra agreed with Operata's assessment of things. She didn't know why that didn't cross her mind before, but knew enough from this place that Mindstorm enjoyed showing off his 'work'. She really wanted to know why he became this way, was it just because of the isolation? Or did he always have an interest in horrific affairs? Could be a combination of both, she thought. If he was so powerful, he could have found a way to kill them off but what good would killing be, without first a little fun? Definitely was in line with his personality as it seemed. "Certainly seems to be." Spectra said to him, in a monotone manner as if the thought of that didn't bother her. Upon hearing Mindstorm's giggly voice about the present in the next room she wouldn't reply to that as she was too busy looking at the painting of the Duke on the wall. Was that what he looked like before he went mad? Most importantly, what did he look like now? However her curious gaze and to some degree, admiration - would quickly end as soon as she realized who else was in the room. A filly. "The fact that you'd go so far for your twisted delusions, just goes to prove that it is you who became the victim." Spectra said with grit. She at least, had some standards. Fillies were not good for magic draining, and she would not so far to harm innocent fillies or colts - like Mindstorm apparently has. "Looking at this painting here, you were once great. I wonder what happened. Perhaps you would be willing to spare me your insanity for one single moment and have an actual conversation. But, that would be expecting too high of a standard from the likes of you." she said, her horn already pulsing blue. Spectra didn't care to look at the filly too much, as she wanted to land a hit on them. In those black eyes, there was no innocence of youth. Only pure malice - perhaps it could be some kind of monster masquerading as a filly, or it was a real filly that he had experimented upon to make her into something...else. From her horn, many ice shards would spring out and fly towards the filly, spinning like blades. She'd signal for Operata to attack as well, doing her best to dodge the oncoming attack. -
Would there be a possibility for virtual stuff? Since, I cannot attend anywhere in person.

@Jeric I look forward to any future updates that would clear up these bugs. The most important of these bugs in my opinion is the fact that ranks are not updating. I have above 10,000 posts for example but am still a unicorn, for example. The status update issue is also a big one. Won't blame you for that. I already use a Dark Mode anyways. That's understandable, why is it that the forums have to be connected with Poniverse? The site has lost it's general sense of fun to be honest, and it's good to see that we are attempting to bring that back. With that in mind, I am much more interested in pursuing further things on this site and this community. Glad the Cup is coming back! Movie night and virtual things would also be really nice as well.

@Kujamih Maybe Light ends up dying, and you could use a new character that doesn't have the same issues with writing that Light did? -

[OOC] The Æther Project
Props Valroa replied to Illiad Easle's topic in Everfree Planning, OOC & Discussion
@Illiad Easle Sounds like a plan to me. I look forward to that. Now, Merlot's character is basically inspired a lot by my personality. She is genuinely wanting to help others, and sees things to the point where many others will not do it right, so perhaps she sees herself as the way to do that, whatever that way will be. Unlike Spiral, she never had any bad histories or self serving nature. Merlot in a sense, as deep as she can seem at times, feels as if she's still an innocent soul who hasn't seen these things up close, but now she will, evidently. I am not exactly sure how that will go. I find myself forgetting a lot of what Apollo was, and is. From what I remember, he is a somewhat self serving figure who seems to only care about his own power? I don't remember much else beyond that, so for the arc of that character, I am going to need more information for when we get to this part. As for Spiral herself, up until about half way through the RP she only cared about her own power, and not she knows the desolation that power seeking brings, and wants to turn herself around, and make up for the wrongs that she did of her own accord. Yes that makes perfect sense to me and I find it a very fascinating and original take on this storyline. This was an issue I had with Light as well. When a character is so powerful and can basically avoid consequences by simply being powerful, then that simply isn't an interesting thing to RP with. Seeing as how long it took to get where we are, and as I want to use Merlot more in the future - I would prefer we just say it happened as you described, and we can 'finish' off the Arc with the defeat of the Empress? No need to complicate this with re-writes and such, we continue with the story as you described having happened, thus move on to the next Arc. -
It is good to see that the staff are starting to put a foot forward to care for this place. If only I could do the same in a greater capacity - perhaps one day. I love this place, and am frustrated by the lack of action sometimes. But it's time to put our best foot forward. Together.

[OOC] The Æther Project
Props Valroa replied to Illiad Easle's topic in Everfree Planning, OOC & Discussion
@Illiad Easle I definitely wanted to do more with Merlot I have to say, but if you lack ideas for her side of the story I won't force you. I know that I would have liked to do more with Maud and Trixie back then, but I ended up losing interest with playing them anyways, it seemed like that plotline with them didn't really amount to anything, but we can at least come up with some sort of conclusion to their arcs OOC and talk about what their fates will be. My idea for Spiral is that she would assassinate Apollo, and declare herself the leader of the project, for genuine reasons, to help those aboard and remind those aboard - of the desolation that war brings. Would enjoy playing that out in the story. As for this current story, I honestly don't understand what is going on so I just went with the flow. From what I gather, the unicorns were rather self serving and captured the Kitsune for less than benign reasons and they are going to free someone important to the Kitsune by why wouldn't they free the Kitsune as well? And the Empress is the 'villain' here? -
Pretty good, just got home.

@Illiad Easle Give me a day or two and I will get back to you. Am out of town. Will give a complete response to you when I am home. -
Feeling invigorated. There is only the one and could ever be one. The majority of life is a distraction from this factor, that we are all and can only be one. Remove the divisions, and suffixes of distraction and you only have - one, the ultimate whole. I am thinking that one day, Man will be among a Grand Alliance from those among other worlds, and we'll maybe find our answers then. I am feeling well. Time for vacation. @They call me Loyalty I feel like you need hugs. *Gives you some huggies*

It would be interesting to see, if not only for old times sake.

@Illiad Easle Arcana, from what I can tell, is that she was the Empress of the Unicorns there and she went mad, amassing power from the subjects she once ruled over by stealing their horns? -

I live in a great home life, have never suffered physical injuries, and am well off generally. -
There are many times where I think I'm some hero in a story then I realize everyone else has their own story. In other people's stories, I was in a negative light. But that's okay. You can't make positive wakes everywhere you go, but you can most certainly try. I look at all the times where I failed, but then I realize there are far more times where I've succeeded. This year has been hard, but I made it that way with my outlook. I look too harshly at things, I express things too harshly and it's caused many problems. I've been trying so hard to be positive, but it's just the hardest thing to do. The easiest thing for humans to do is to surrender to primal instincts, greed, paranoia, hate. I suppose that's really the filter of who is evolved and who isn't. And in many cases, I've not been the brightest in that. There is much more time, to look and see in the great beyond, and to see to it my proper stance on life, so that I may ride my white horse off into the sunset with the calling of those who came here before me. I look to those who project themselves with kind hearted innocence and I envy them for if I were to do as they do, I would feel as if I'm wearing a mask. I'm not one to wear masks, I say what I believe to be the unbridled truths without censoring my voice. I envy the childish nature of youth, the warmth of the sun, the warmth of the innocent days long since past - what have I become now? Jaded, indecent, indignant? How can I convey my words in ways which are more proper, and more befitting of what I want to convey? People look at me as if I'm some misunderstood person, and look at me in all sorts of ways that aren't there, and then they turn around and lie to me about things that never happened while calling themselves innocent. Why is it? Why must people lie to me as so, but look so kind and fondly in other areas I see them? What about me, is the reason why they don't want to share that with me? And when they do, why does it feel hollow and devoid of character? Why do I always seem to see and sense those who have hollow hearts, and end up realizing that I was right in the end, when they all turn their backs and stab their daggers into my back, acting as if they are making a grand stand - but I saw it all coming, from so, so long ago. I have so many questions - and so little answers. I am tired of the lies. I just want the truth. The question is, is that the truth that other people will want to see? Or will it make them go mad, and berserk that they were lied to, and in their rage, will they rectify their actions, or try to justify how they acted despite knowing otherwise? Come on now, we can be better than that. I know we can.

@Illiad Easle I think Light's abilities for this RP seem to be too OP, destroying dimensions, etc, is more akin to a god if anything. -
IC: The Frozen North (1x1 with Blitz Boom)
Spectral Fade replied to Magloria 's topic in Advanced Roleplays
@Blitz Boom Spectra would listen to Mindstorm's taunts towards the group with an unamused expression. She didn't reply to him, as it would encourage further undesirable interaction. It seems that he now knew where they were and what they were doing, perhaps he always knew? Either way, that wouldn't surprise her all that much. He was an insane delusional murderer who has likely gotten worse and worse over the years thanks to his relative isolation. What he did to these ponies, was likely, long, long ago - enough to where in that time for his mind to fall into sheer insanity. "Mindstorm has lost it. He's lost every part of himself to these depraved and isolated experiments. He think's he's somehow really scaring us off, all I am seeing is a sad broken mind. He think's he is really laying down fear on us? All I am seeing is boring examples at shock and awe that have long since lost their value. But I would bide my tongue on that, knowing what else he could have in store for us onward." Spectra stated, as her spell would finish it's work. What remained of the bodies in this room was just frozen shards that would rot / evaporate away far quickly than the full bodies. The rest of the room would be damaged by her spells, the furniture would be broken, the walls cracked up a bit. Spectra could feel Veil's emotions as they proceeded. She didn't really like feeling that way since it reminded her of how she could possibly be feeling if she didn't have any restraint or experience with these sorts of things. Within Veil, she saw what she could have been, had she never became stronger. "Agreed, let's get a move on." she spoke to Operata, and would lead the way out of the room, preparing for whatever horror awaited them next.
