You read the comics? They kind of pull that whole corruption of him thing. That there's some sort of shadow sprites of a species mentioned somewhere else that he was really spawned from, the whole fighting back his nature sorta thing. 

  Personally, I feel adding anything more onto him being a tyrant is just adding a little bit too much detail. It's a Kids' Show World after all. Discord was evil because he didn't care about others, Sombra wanted to exert power over other ponies, Tirek was avarice and so on.

I do, sometimes. 

I like designing things out and seeing character development, good or evil.

I imagine the ponies that are with Tirek there will appreciate being set free. even Sombra and Chrysalis.

Okay. Well, anyways, the truth is I love meat, especially kebab. But i hard,y eat any at ALL becuase its bad for my blood for medical reasons anyways. I probably hate every single person who ate horse meat. Okay, 8 might be a tad much prejudiced, but uts the truth.

I will never eat meat because its just cruel and sickening, unless if its to survive.

  Suppose the worst you could say about Celestia is her inactivity & lack of character. But I suppose being a prophet kind of leans into inactivity when you always know what's going to happen. The majority of the time. Can't argue she dumps an awful lot on Tryhard Sparkle: Princess of Being a Main Character. But she isn't any sort of tyrant. Poor gal has had to basically murder her last remaining family member. That's gotta leave mental scars.

  But, Denying Chrysalis her villainy feels like dissolving her character entirely. Making her good feels like to me, as if trying to rationalize away abuse. It's still negative either way. There were better choices to be had, there always is. 

    I say her interests aren't in the welfare of her hive. They're in having the hive do as she wants them to do. If there's a cannonical rebellion among your charges, you haven't exactly been keeping them happy, right?

  I agree completely with Johnny. There is always going to be somebeing willing, no matter the request or situation. Everybeing thinks differently and, mathematically speaking, odds are high that you'd find an interest for anything. Sure, she may basically be a walking, insectoid, parasitic, vat of green bile & cruelty, but if she calmly asked for a snuggle n' cuddle, I wouldn't hesitate in the least! 

  As I stated in my last post to ya, they could have just as easily handed out flyers detailing their problem. What was going to stop them from that when they got away with abducting a leading member of government? One can't rightfully point to Zecora's first outing as discrimination. That was more ignorance. Did they run screaming, throw rocks or organize a mob when they first saw Zecora? No, they just hid, let her do what she came to do and just supposed that some dark-hooded individual in the middle of a sunny summer afternoon probably isn't interested in being a cheerful friend. 

  I don't know why changeling fans keep missing out the fact we had an undisguised changeling attend a big budget wedding in Ponyville and was even pointed out as such. (by Celestia herself, I think?) 

   Changeling does not equal Outcast. 

      Being an Outcast or Hermit involves quite a fair bit more of self-deludement. Trust me on that.

  Ya know, kind of beginning to irritate me how Changelings seem to be becoming more of an object of pity than their own species by right. Individuals of a species are foremost themself before the archetype their appearance would suggest. Feels a trifle bit unjust to just say Changelings are a sad lot for every single one of them and they're edgy & cool because of it.

  It's so easy to say "Well what if it was the other way around?!!?" This is based more on interpretation than fact. Evil is something that can only be defined to each observer. What I say evil is, is more in how you act. Intentionally harming others for your own gain even when presented with alternatives. Evil is more than just the opposite of the protagonists. Let me put it this way...

  Have not watched Breaking Bad, but the rough gist of it that I have is: Teacher gets really sick, so he decides his best option is to pay for his doctor bills by selling drugs and becoming a really good criminal. That is irrefutably evil. No matter what action he takes on that path, he will harm others for his own gain. Drugs kill people and he could have just as easily been honest and seeked out others to help him. You tell your doctor "I'll die without this surgery, but I can't pay." Then somebody somewhere will help you to do that.

  Same is the case with Chrysalis. I know not of the second episode, but from what I've heard she doesn't care at all for her underlings or anypony else for that matter. After all, we wouldn't have Thorax looking for safer alternatives if she actually listened to anypony else. It's not about providing for her hive, its about doing it her way and harming whoever gets in her way. I am completely certain Ponykind would let them freely walk among them (think we've actually seen a few examples of that onscreen) and even work something out to fit their special feeding habits. We had a twenty-foot river serpent lazing in the Spa Hot Tub for bones' sake! 

  This is the land of friendship after all! Only way you'd seperate yourself from it is by being completely antithetical to it like how the Griffon Kingdom closed off from a spate of greed. I theorize that each of the show's villains are meant to exemplify negative emotions. Sombra was unmitigated Fear and Chrysalis is pure Cruelty.

  I say, to completely counter this video, I ask one question. If that attack on Canterlot was an inevitability, then why the subterfuge? Why not just hand out well detailed fliers around town explaining their situation? Like, just knock on doors say "Sorry to bother you, but my species has a very odd way of eating that requires the kindness of others. Do you have a moment?"  ...okay, maybe that was two questions...

...Judging from what I've seen of her fan art... I'd say Nightmare Moon herself does less dreamwalking and more disemboweling & decapitation. Whichever flavor you prefer.

   ...there's something very unnerving about a horse with sharp teeth. And I know, I'm well acquainted with kelpies and knucklevees!

 Addendum:  Don't... don't go looking up what a Knucklevee is... good gravy that is terrifying... and here I thought Thestrals were somewhat dark & scary. Least your scary goes down a notch when you're just bone...

Perhaps instead of her being banished or whatever. She would go corrupted around the time of Twilight or Sunset, possessing either of them.

Because 'good' winning and the heroes winning all the time makes it boring.

Oh and also the villains often ending up having cooler designs and voices and such.

 Oh aye, heros are boring for the most part. There's only one heroine I've ever enjoyed because she so clearly had her actual faults to her instead of being some sacred paragon.

 But, like... kind of hard too to look up to & admire those who willingly pillage, maim, destroy and terrorize innocent people.
