Here comes yesterday’s question:
The Voyager probes have been in service for just shy of 45 years now. How far away is Voyager 1?
A. 10.86 light minutes
B. 45.3 light years
C. .0050 parsecs
D. 21.5 light hours
This was…
SpoilerD. If a light year is the distance that light can travel in one year, in 45 years, Voyager 1 hasn’t even managed to travel one light day yet. It will take over 315 years to travel one light week, 1300+ to travel a light month, and around 17,720 years to travel one light year.
Here comes today’s question:
In 1994, the first ever recorded extraterrestrial collision occurred between Jupiter and which of the following objects?
A. 1950 DA
B. Comet Shoemaker-Levy 9
C. Cassini
D. Europa

It's B
and I know this by hard. This is a very famous one aaaand in 94 I tried together with my dad and a telescope to see this as it happened. This actually a really wholesome memory for me. Thanks for reminding me <3
SpoilerAdditionally the other three options can be discounted:
A. 1950 DA is one of the risk–listed asteroid which could be potentially collide with earth .. as I recall in a couple of hundread years .. so not sure bout this time frame
C. Cassini (Huygens) was launched in 97. So no chance it could collide in 94. I know nothing else regarding this topic which bears that name.
D. Europa (one of the four Galilean moons orbiting Jupiter). Can be discounted rather easily as well since I (and we all) would know if they had collided in 94 xD
