I just had someone bring a check with no date on it. So I wrote the date on a piece of paper so he could fill it in on the check: 2/24/20.
He writes 20/20/24 instead.

Aside from the time long ago when the Gregorian was introduced, when 11 days had to be added one year to make up for all the errors in the Julian calendar, I cannot think of a reason to add another 8 months...

It should be written year/day/hour/week(depending if it’s raining that day)/mouth/season. That way anyway around it makes sense.
