  1. Alright, let's unmask the last question:

In cards, the “dead man’s hand” was named after who of the following?

    A. “Wild Bill” Hickok

    B. Calamity Jane

    C. Annie Oakley

    D. “Buffalo Bill” Cody

    The answer was...

    Spoiler

A! Born James Butler Hickok in 1837, he earned the nickname of "Wild Bill" for his physical appearance. Hickok was known for his moustache and his tall, imposing figure. He was the central figure of many a myth, some outlandish about his lethality and efficiency with a gun. Hickok was known as a soldier, scout, lawmen, gambler, and actor. In 1876, Wild Bill was shot in the back of the head by a man who he'd played cards with the night prior, Jack McCall. The hand he died holding (aces and eights, with an unverified hole card) at the time of his death became known as the "dead man's hand."

    Now for today's question:

You guys remember that musician? I'm blanking on this one- I know he's one of the following guys, but which one...
He popularized this fusion of folk, rock, soul, rhythm and blues music.
You know who I'm talking about, right? He called it "Cosmic American Music".

He went to Harvard for like one semester, then got bored and left?

Come on, he had to all but take care of his mother when his father committed suicide two days before Christmas when he was a kid?

...Got hooked on drugs and overdosed in 1973?

Yeah, that guy! What's his name again?

    A. Duane Allman

    B. John Paul Larkin

    C. Gram Parsons

    D. Ronnie Van Zant

@Samurai Equine I think I'll return the flavor and pick B as well.
