Okay, time for yesterday’s answer:
You guys remember that western written in the mid 80’s?
It was based on a true story. Very bloody tale, but most alarming is it’s villain.
He’s purported to have existed for real in the 1800’s, right?
Remember? He has immense strength and a preternatural knowledge of all sciences?
He’s nearly 7 feet tall and completely bereft of body hair, can be in two places at once and has no need for sleep?
Skin’s so pale it’s almost got no pigment.
Come on, he’s been compared to Shakespeare’s Iago?
Yeah, that guy! Who was he again?
A. Pinkie Brown
B. Randall Flag
C. Judge Holden
D. Hannibal Lecter
The answer was...
SpoilerC! The Judge is a natural at surviving the events of Blood Meridian, the 1985 western which follows the crimes of a fictionalized version of Glanton’s Gang. The only known evidence of The Judge’s existence in real life is from a biography by Samuel Chamberlain, who claimed to have been involved in the gang. He describes Holden as massive in stature, pale and bald, knowledgeable in a variety of sciences and unerring with a firearm, cowardly, and perhaps the most ruthless of the gang. The fictionalized version of The Judge is sometimes considered the most frightening character in modern American literature.
Now for today’s question:
Suppose “I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter!” Came out with a line of grief based products. If they wanted to keep with the standard model of grief, what might the next item be?
A. I’m Very Angry That It’s Not Butter
B. I’d Do Anything To Make It Butter
C. I’ve Lost All Hope Because It’s Not Butter
D. I’m Coming To Terms With It Not Being Butter
