An old man on drive up sent one of our 24 year old tellers a note with his phone number on it asking her to call him.

I think we need to specify what quantifies a "Bad Movie."

 Like it's passable if the movie's plot & logic doesn't make sense. If so much of it depends on the characters not behaving like any living being would. It's fantasy, it's 85% of all movies anyway. We wouldn't have the Romantic Comedy or Drama if we let our characters behave with sanity.

I can excuse a movie for slow pacing, poor acting or bad writing so long as they attempt what they think is a coherent storyline. 

Gosh, even a short movie that's just holding on an image or a sound. If it's pure nonsense, it was clearly intended to be from the start. Like a cat missing the fly and faceplanting the screen door; sure it's dumb but it still happened. Doesn't invoke any outrage in me.

...No, it's when the movie is flawed right from the get-go on what it thinks is the message and story its telling you, pretends its something you should be paying attention to... and nothing connects to anything and your left wondering what information you were supposed to obtain from these images.

You know Mystery Science Theater 3000? Yeah, modern cinema will never get as garbage as the stuff they riffed. Kitten with a Whip was the worst they tackled. The only way that story works is if you're making a movie to set up that situation; It pretends like its doing society a favor by warning us of somethign that couldn't ever happen. 

The best Worst Movies end with pure Confusion. Where you're just leaned backwards at a 30 degree angle, drooling on yourself with only a ".... What? I...guess they... went to a place and things happened? Am I supposed to react now?"

Haven’t really been on all that much today, but goodnight guys.  

There's so much free knowledge available on the internet, in libraries. It's a shame so many careers require you to pay tens of thousands here in the states to just be able to work and maybe get hired. If only you could test out of classes and earn credit doing self-study than having to pay a professor to teach you.

I'm going to bed, I got work tomorrow and Tuesday so I won't be online much those days, goodnight!

I don't understand... but that's Life for you.

Keep in mind that Life will always pop up with things you won't be able to understand, but how you choose to deal with that is always your own choice.  Therefore, instead of angsting and worrying over the things piled on my mind, I simply let go of the tension by reminding myself that, even if I can't understand a thing right now, it doesn't mean that's how it will always be... and I won't always feel so bad about it.

Is it still something to deal with?  Oh yes... but if I allow it to grind against my mind too long, it'll dull the sharpened blade of my wit and drain my batteries far too quickly.  

Remember, kids - if the thing you have in your proverbial hands is hurting you, there's no rule that says you can't mentally put it down for a while.  We're not worry machines; we need a break, too.

So, whatever's bugging you, take solace in the fact that you don't have to keep rubbing it like a Worry Stone, and teach yourself not let things go... but to put things down for a moment, take a breath, and just EXIST for a while.

We are not the sum of our tribulations; don't continue as if you are.

With my last breath, I wish more happiness than pain in everyone's lives!
