Here comes today’s question (and it’s thanks to YDKJ 2011!)

  3. Here comes yesterday’s answer:

In 1973, musician Gram Parsons’ body was stolen by who of the following?

    A. Phil Kaufman

    B. Polly Parsons

    C. Keith Richards

    D. “Sneaky” Pete Kleinow

    This was...

    Spoiler

A! Gram And Phil had a pact that, whoever died first, the other would take their body to the desert and cremate it. Gram died by overdose in 1973, so Phil Kaufman (his record producer) and a friend of his stole his body, got drunk, went into the desert, poured a ton of gas on it and threw in a match.

This did not cremate the body. Just sorta burned it a bit and made a big fireball. Kaufman was arrested and fined for stealing a casket because there was no law against stealing a body at that point.

    Here comes today’s question:

Can I breathe in these suit pants?

    A. A little

    B. Yes

    C. One breath every 5 minutes

    D. I’m suffocating

For the Angel of Death spread His wings on the blast,

And the eyes of the sleepers waxed deadly and chill,

    D. Silicon into iron
    This was...

    This week’s winner is...

    A. The Inner Party

    B. The Outer Party

    C. The Proles

    D. Big Brother

    This was...

    Spoiler

C! The lower class known as the proles lived free of telescreen and constant surveillance by the party (though there were a few party members watching to make sure they didn’t start a revolution). If the party feared anyone it was the proles, because they had the capacity to overthrow them if they wanted. So they gave the proles freedom* and bribed them with various bread and circuses.

    Here comes today’s question:

In its core, the sun is currently fusing what into what?

    A. Iron into nickel

    B. Carbon into oxygen

    A. 1

    B. 2

    C. 3

    D. 4

    This was...

    Spoiler

D! We have 3 full timers and 1 part timer. Leaving us with a whopping 4 people. Because one of them is very lazy though I will also accept C as an answer. Take 4 or 3 and put 2 elsewhere and you have 1 or 2 people covering an endless stream of people.

    Here comes today’s question:

  11. Here comes yesterday’s answer:

*shines desk lamp in your face* we know you were at the scene of the crime. Now we need to hear you admit it. What’s that? You’re acknowledging your guilt and feel deeply remorseful? Well, when you’re in court for the crime, these things can be considered what?

    A. Mitigating Factors

    B. Aggravating Factors

    C. Self Defense

    D. Class E Felony

    This was...

    Spoiler

A! Mitigating factors are factors in a crime that may result in a reduced sentence should one be found guilty. Aggravating factors can increase the sentence, most places do not view self defense as a crime (but it’s very difficult to prove) and Class E felonies are felonies.

    Here comes today’s question:

How many people work the front lines at my work place total?

    A. 1

    A. Yokozuna

    B. The Ultimate Warrior

    C. Hulk Hogan

    D. “Macho Man” Randy Savage

    This was...

    Spoiler

B! The Ultimate Warrior was the first superstar to defeat The Undertaker. The defeat occurred during a “body bag match” in which one person had to zip the other in a body bag to win. Warrior had a few near falls but always came back; Taker wound up being zipped up.

I think he sat up in the body bag after the loss too. Charming fellow.

In 2003, this space shuttle was struck in the left wing by a piece of foam while launching and broke apart upon reentry.

    A. Columbia

    B. Challenger

    C. Apollo 13

    D. The Dart

    This was...

    Spoiler

A! Columbia took damage to its left wing as it was going into orbit. This damage did not destroy the craft instantly, and NASA believed that the threat it posed was minuscule. But once the craft began reentry heating, the inside of the left wing was exposed to extreme temperatures. The whole shuttle then broke apart on reentry, killing all seven crew members within a minute of it’s disintegration.

    Here comes today’s question:

@TotallyNotNyx Technically speaking, but if a star is a flare star there’s an excellent chance the habitable zone is just a suggestion to it. Having said that, based on the above choices it should be obvious which one was being discussed.
