    D! A star’s entire life is a battle between gravity and energy. Gravity wants to crush it while energy wants to expand it. For most of its life energy and gravity are locked in a stalemate where neither makes much progress. When a star exhausts hydrogen in its core, gravity starts to win and to compensate the star begins fusing heavier elements. Only the most massive stars make iron, and because iron requires so much  energy to fuse this results in the star collapsing and rebounding outwards in a massive explosion known as a Supernova.

    Now for today’s question:
